At Ballarat Bird World, there are over two hundred Australian and foreign birds to see. It is a rare chance for Australian and overseas visitors to see the colours of Australian bird life. Some of the birds on display are rarely seen in the wild. Including many cockatoos like the Gang-Gang, Red, White and Yellow Tailed cockatoos. Stroll through their free flight aviary containing over seventy birds in free flight. The Bird World Cafe has delicious Devonshire teas, cappuccino or a latte or have some of the chicken nuggets, chips or milk shakes on offer. Seating for up to 45 people, wood fire and air conditioned. For group bookings please contact the café. Sit with the native birds on the outdoor tree top deck area, that overlooks ferns and native climbers.

The Cottage is a well-appointed, self-contained miners cottage providing accommodation for up to 8 guests. Built-in 2004, it has 3 bedrooms (2 Double & 1 Twin Single), large living/dining room, fully contained kitchen, central bathroom and a fully equipped laundry.

Wholesome country breakfast provisions are provided. The selection includes cereal, fruits, farm fresh eggs, bacon, country-style bread, croissants and pastries from our local bakery, fruit juice, a selection of teas and freshly brewed coffee.  The fully equipped kitchen includes stove, microwave and sandwich toaster for quick snacks. We cater for guests with specific dietary need - please let us know when booking.

The cottage also has a TV, DVD and CD player, and a selection of books and magazines.

Comfortable outdoor furniture surrounds the BBQ for relaxed outdoor dining. Children are welcome. Pets on request only.

Sinclair of Scotsburn is ideally located 10 minutes from historic Buninyong.

We are 20 minutes from central Ballarat and only 1½ hours from Melbourne, and within easy reach of Geelong, Daylesford and Castlemaine and their plethora of interesting galleries, gardens and historic beauty.

- Sinclair of Scotsburn is teaming with beautiful birdlife, and we have collaborated a bird sighting book to help you identify the many varieties you will see. We also have swans (Helen and Alan) who are expecting six cygnets, a wedgetail eagle family who soar majestically over the vineyard, and a variety of rosellas, parrots, wrens, and robbins.
- Sinclair of Scotsburn has a swimming hole with plenty of yabbies - just the thing to keep the kids entertained.
- Why not bring your rod and try a spot of fishing? The dam is full of trout which taste greatly grilled on the BBQ.

The Ballarat Observatory is one of the oldest observatories in regional Australia, with one of the best collections of 18th to 21st century telescopes. Ballarat Observatory have the first telescope built in Australia for disability access, which is also suitable for those who can no longer climb ladders or are too small for some of the older telescopes. Leading 3D Astrotour movies will have you on the edge of your seat and amaze you as you discover the amazing universe. School groups, community groups, cub or scout astronomy badge activities, just ask us to help to provide a fascinating program. The Observatory can host your next birthday party, unusual wedding, end of year function, or any celebration or reason for a party you might have. Fun school holiday activities for children and adults are available. Bookings essential, see website for all events. Summer viewing is late due to daylight saving time. The best viewing nights are in winter, when the frost is out, and the atmosphere is perfectly still. We have some of the best objects in the southern hemisphere sky. Dress for the snow to keep you internal heater warm, top up with warm drinks at the Third Rock Cafe. Bookings taken for any day or night times outside open times.

Now a haven for wildlife, Enfield State parks was once dominated by tents and diggers from around the world during Victoria's gold rush. Visit the park in spring and be rewarded by colourful and unusual wildflowers. Picnics Picnic facilities are available at the Surface Point picnic area and at Enfield picnic area. Remote Long Gully, which can be reached by vehicle or on foot from Surface Point, also has a picnic ground. You should bring your own firewood, as it is not always available locally. Walking The park features many walking tracks of various lengths and terrain. A circuit walking track with side tracks to Enfield and Bald Hills provides long distance walking while shorter walks are available around Surface Point and Long Gully. Horse riding Horses can be ridden on formed vehicle tracks open for public use but must not be taken on walking tracks. Camping Facilities are provided at Surface Point, and while bush camping is permitted, remember fires can only be lit in fireplaces provided. Campers are not required to book sites or pay fees for camping in Enfield State Park. Mountain bike riding An increasingly popular activity, many opportunities exist for bike riders to experience the park. Bicycles are not permitted on walking tracks, but tracks are available for use.
