“Arguably the best film ever made about professional cycling.” – Peter Cowie, International Film Guide.
In honour of the most famous and the most dramatic of the spring classic "monument" race - Paris-Roubaix they're bringing this outstanding cycling documentary to the BIG screen for ONE SCREENING ONLY.
The hellish Sunday took place on April 11, 1976 when the champions of cycle-racing battled for victory in the classic and gruelling annual bicycle race – Paris-Roubaix.
The film captures not just the events of the 1976 edition but the atmosphere of a professional race.
"You can see every bead of sweat on the cyclists and every smashed-up ankle. It really makes you never want to get on a bike again. But it is an amazing film." - Nick Fraser, BBC commissioning editor
So…listen to the voice inside you; it’s telling you to go. Grab your mates, grab your tickets, go on… grab your bike and come along for the ride!...

DUTILLEUX Ainsi la Nuit.
BEETHOVEN String Quartet in C sharp minor op 131.
Your invited to join them on a fascinating 70-minute musical journey as they traverse two seven-movement string quartets, by Beethoven and Dutilleux.
Many regard Beethoven’s late quartets as the holy grail of his contribution to the genre. The composer’s monumental String Quartet in C sharp minor op 131 stands apart from them all in its breadth and originality. In the 250th year since the master composer’s birth, we are excited to take on this towering work.
Fast-forward 150 years and French composer Henri Dutilleux looked to Beethoven for inspiration. In his career, Dutilleux wrote only one string quartet and he made it count. A shining example of 20th century quartet repertoire, Ainsi la Nuit is architectural, modern and completely original in its composition and will captivate through its evocative, poetic and sensuous qualities....

The final week in August sees the hoop pine valley come alive with the campfires, stage lights and camaraderie. Effectively run by 1500 local community volunteers, the Muster makes music not just for the four days, but resounds with a regional social impact that lasts at least until next Muster.

This event has been rescheduled from 14 to 22 August 2020 to 13 to 21 August 2021.
Resonating under the vast Kimberley sky lie the stories of people and Country. Through the pindan red dust and dry spinifex grass, the undulating sandhills give rise to the movements of people in a shifting cycle of displacement and discontent.
At the heart of this is Jila – Living Water, a symbol of ancient knowledge and power, and a connection back to the Ancestral lands of the old people.
As we journey through the cultural landscape, we uncover ancient Story systems embedded in the land, and passed on to a new generation struggling to navigate cycles of government policy and social dysfunction across a fractured cultural divide.
In this new work, created by Bangarra Dance Theatre in consultation and Wangkatjungka/Walmajarri Elders from the Kimberley region, SandSong draws on the knowledge and memories of the past to create a new narrative for our Indigenous futures.
