Norman Hotel

102 Ipswich Road, Woolloongabba QLD 4102

The Norman Hotel is operated by The Independent Pub Group. The main Norman Hotel building dates back to 1889 and is heritage listed. The venue has had many incarnations during the years being a working class pub for many years, a biker pub in the early 80’s and most recently as “Brisbane’s worst vegetarian restaurant!”
The most significant innovation in the hotel’s history has been the restoration of the Norman Hotel after a fire engulf the hotel in June 2009. Norman has been rebuilt bigger and better to keep up its reputation as the “Best Steakhouse in Brisbane” with affordable prices and a relaxing and friendly atmosphere.

Chalk Hotel

735 Stanley, Woolloongabba QLD 4102
Despite having only been established in the mid noughties, the Chalk Hotel in Woolloongabba has developed itself a reputation as a modern drinking and dining establishment. There are two bars on site including the Stinks Wine Bar which serves a range of alcoholic beverages and the Juice Bar for those who want a simple, aromatic coffee or healthy juice. With the restaurant, the menu veers away from traditional pub fare and instead serves Modern Australian cuisine that is fresh, flavoursome and well-presented. --TrueLocal description-- A red goose and scallop curry tells you that this hotel’s upmarket restaurant, Sticks, does not serve standard pub food. It is winning awards for its modern Australian fare. Upstairs is Stumps bar if you just want to enjoy beer and gourmet burgers while watching the footy or cricket. The Chalk also features the Lions Den, the official home of the social club of the Brisbane Lions.
