The Huon Valley Golf Club is a private, 12-hole country course at Huonville, southern Tasmania.

Huonville is 40 minutes’ drive from Hobart in the Huon Valley (48 kilometres/30 miles).

The Huon Valley Golf Club offers fully watered fairways and excellent greens.

The generally flat layout is not without challenge and six extra tees provide a total of 18 holes.

Competitions are held at the course each Saturday and visitors and groups are welcome.

The course has a well-appointed club house and the licensed bar is open each Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Bookings can be made for meals and the Clubhouse also has an adjacent barbecue area.

The Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival is all about celebrating the region's apple-picking history and at its core is the wassail: the ages-old tradition of scaring evil spirits from the orchard to bring on a bumper crop. 2020 is no different! This year is all about bringing Mid-Winter into the heart of your home with a LIVE streamed event on Sat 11 July from 6:30 pm. The festivals much-loved traditions make a virtual comeback including the Burning Man, Tassie's best folk-funk bands, the coveted costume competition, tales tall and true from Tassie’s best storytellers and of course the Wassail. Everyone is invited to join together (from home) to sing with us to the apple trees, dress in pagan finery, bang pots and pans and let go of any negative energy to make way for the new....

Willie Smith's Artisan and Produce Market occurs each Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm at the Willie Smith's Apple Shed in Grove. Willie Smith’s are proud to showcase Huon Valley growers and local artisans, with an ever-changing variety of produce, gourmet pork products, honey, baked goods, condiments, jams, pickles and preserves. Also featured at the market are local handmade ceramics, handcrafted wood products and quality leather goods. The Willie Smith’s Apple Shed kitchen is open from 9am with coffee and changing breakfast specials every Saturday. Due to current advice on public gatherings, this event is on hold until Sept/Oct 2020....
