The Jubilee Park Adventure Playground at Port Noarlunga is suitable for all ages, fully fenced, with toilets, barbecue, undercover tables and chairs, an access swing and car parking. There is a nominated toddler area, with a smaller slide and toddler swings, plus a tunnel and bridge. There are lots of seats within the castle for parents to sit and watch their children. Outside of the wooden fortress area is a modern play area with a slide plus some great equipment that twists and turns.
The Marion Cultural Centre has been internationally recognised and was one of 12 Australian buildings selected to feature in the Australian Pavilion at the 2006 Venice Architecture Biennale. It is only 15 minutes from the Central Business District. The Marion Cultural Centre comprises a theatre, meeting rooms, art gallery, café, foyer, plaza and the Marion Library. If you are interested in fishing, canoeing or photography the spectacular Onkaparinga River Recreation Park is a must. South Australia's second largest river, the Onkaparinga, meanders through gorges before transforming into an entirely different estuary environment of wetland ponds and flood plains. Explore the gentle estuary channels by kayak or canoe. Try your luck fishing. Ride along the cycle trails and see a variety of bird life on the river and in the ponds along the trail. The Vines Golf Club of Reynella (previously known as the Marino Golf Club) is situated in the Southern Wine Region some 18 kilometres from Adelaide, the city centre. Venue for the Australian Open and Jacob's Creek South Australian Open Qualifying. Venue of the 2005 South Australian Amateur Championship, the first club to hold the final outside of the inner metropolitan golf clubs in the history of the event. The Mount Hurtle winery first built in 1897 by Mostyn Owen is a heritage-listed building. Painstakingly restored to its former glory by Geoff Merrill in the mid eighties, the winery and surrounds have retained their almost Tuscan charm and cope with the rigors of modern day winemaking. Surrounded by the Pimpala vineyard, which is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the grounds of the winery are home to a large family of ducks, geese and swans. The Mount Hurtle experience is an opportunity to visit a small part of South Australia's winemaking heritage and to sample the world-class wines of Geoff Merrill.
Hallett Cove Conservation Park is one of Australia's most outstanding geological and archaeological sites, recording evidence of an Australian ice age some 280 million years ago and providing a treasure chest of more than 1,700 Aboriginal artefacts. Magnificently developed glacial pavements along the northern cliff tops are recognised as the best record of Permian glaciation in Australia and have international significance. The park also conserves native flora and fauna and has access to a beach for swimming and fishing. Hallett Cove Conservation Park is just 22 kilometres south of the Adelaide city centre. A series of walking trails run through the park.

The premier and original open market of the Fleurieu Peninsula has been operating since 1982. It is held on the first and third Sunday of each month from 9am to 1pm. Stalls consist of fresh fruit and vegetables, plants, arts and crafts, antiques, collector's items, bric a brac and other second hand items. ' Local life saving clubs and Coastguard offer sausage sizzles to raise funds for their community charity. All monies raised are donated to local organisations and charities in the City of Onkaparinga. At present in excess of AUD190,000 has been donated. City of Onkaparinga 2008 Community Event of the Year Award.
The Reynella Winery is the site of oldest wine business in South Australia, established by John Reynell in 1838. After passing through several hands, the Hardy family purchased the business in 1982. Hardys association with Reynella dates from 1850 when pioneer and founder Thomas Hardy, worked for John Reynell during his first six months in Australia. Today, the historic Reynella Winery and Cellar Door remains a premier wine tourism destination. Cellar Door is also adjacent to many historic structures including the grand Reynell Homestead which dates from 1842 and Cellar Number One which dates from 1845. The Old Cave as it is more affectionately known is listed with the National Trust and is the oldest working wine cellar in Australia. The Reynella Winery provides the ultimate in winery locations for garden ceremonies, wedding receptions or corporate function. Port Noarlunga is located approximately 30 kilometres south of Adelaide and was originally created as a sea port. The picturesque steep red sandstone cliffs of Port Noarlunga and long jetty provide visitors with scenic walks and a place to fish. The Port Noarlunga reef and aquatic reserve are recognised as a popular diving location; they also shelter the beach from large waves.
Horndale Distillery and Wine Cellars is one of the oldest vineyards/wineries in the Adelaide region. Horndale has one and a half acres of Red Frontignac grapes. These grapes are used to make up Horndale's feature wine Old Horndale Brandy Wood Frontignac. Apart from this small crush, the other wine is made off the premises. Horndale Cellar Door has a fine selection of Red, White, Sparkling and Fortified Wines. With many medal winners in our stable you are sure to find a wine for that special occasion, or even some to put away. The cellar door is open for tastings and sales seven days a week. Adjoining the cellar is the old Number One Spirit Store, which has been converted to a function room and restaurant. The Function room is ideal for that special occasion and the bistro is popular with tourists and is open Friday nights. Bookings are essential.
Braydun Hill vineyard is situated next to the Onkaparinga Gorge National Park, overlooking McLaren Vale and Willunga townships to the south and the Onkaparinga estuary and the ocean to the west. For many generations, Braydun Hill has been used as a grazing property, for cattle, sheep and angora goats. The ideal grape growing position led to the decision to plant the vineyard in the mid 1990s, and in 1998 the first vines were planted. The decision was made at the time to aim to produce top quality grapes to make the very best full bodied red wine, namely Shiraz. Braydun Hill does not grow any white varieties, as the vineyard is perfect for top quality red. Their philosophy is to do one thing and to excel. Shiraz lovers are welcome to visit, tour the vineyard and sample their premium wine. The small, cosy cellar door is open most weekends.
Thaxted Park Golf Club one of Adelaide's best kept golfing secrets is located at Woodcroft, approximately 30 kilometres south of the city, and is set in picturesque surroundings.
