Platform 1 Heritage Farm Railway at Littlehampton features a train ride, farm animals and railway memorabilia, just 10 minutes from Hahndorf. You will find a collection of artefacts, historic photographs and text from more than 100 years of history of the Lutheran Church in Papua New Guinea and more recently, South East Asia. Gulf Brewery is a microbrewery producing hand crafted boutique beers. You can taste beers at the cellar door and either relax and have a beer by the glass or take away to drink at your leisure. The cellar door is located between the IGA and Otto's bakery on the main street of historic Hahndorf in the picturesque Adelaide Hills Gulf Brewery have a wide range of beers available, so they can guarantee there will be a beer to suit your palette from a crisp refreshing lager to smooth dark chocolate stout. They also have one off specialty beers on tap throughout the year. If you are not sure what beers you would like, why not try a tasting paddle of six? The Prancing Pony Brewery is a boutique craft brewery with a unique point of difference; 'We Fire Brew' Based in Mount Barker in the Adelaide Hills, we create beautifully crafted beers with amazing malt and hop flavours. Visitors to the Brewshed can sample and buy the full range of beers, including Blonde Ale, Amber Ale, Pale Ale and Black Ale. With a licensed Cellar Door, groups of up to 25 can book a tour with the head brewer to learn about beers making, flavours and beer history. For smaller groups a private room is available and children are welcome. Tour bookings are essential. On weekends, we serve light meals including buttered Brezeln, regional tasting platters and with a barista on site, coffee/tea and sweets are on offer for non-beer drinkers. Mount Barker is the ideal course for golfers of all abilities and just 20 minutes drive from Adelaide. Somerled is the name of the bay gelding that was ridden to victory at the local Oakbank Picnic Races in 1908, by Rob's grandfather Stephen Bowd.
