Glen Ian Ostrich and Emu Farm definitely warrants a visit. You will see ostriches, emus, alpacas, cows, horses and caged birds. There is a tour which takes about 40 minutes and is in three stages; from the incubation of chicks, adult breeding and then a talk on the industry history. Some of China's most unique cultural traditions dating back more than 2,000 years such as embroidery is facing extinction and Silk Art is showing Australians something really different in modern embroidery before it is lost for ever in this changing commercial world. Suzhou embroidery is famous for its subtle and refined needlework and typically features natural sceneries, such as flowers, birds and animals. You will be shown how silk worms are grown, how the silk is produced and how a masterpiece is created with a little help from a worm. Silk Art's embroideries would make the perfect wedding, birthday gift or just turn your home into something exciting and beautiful.

Held on the third Sunday of every month, the markets provide local, homegrown produce from local farmers and is the perfect location for a quiet Sunday browse. Drive carefully through these country roads and watch for the friendly local wildlife that can be spotted road side. We are talking about you Roos! Enjoy a picnic on its riverbank and see the mighty hills of Maclean in the distance. Ashby provides a great view of The Broadwater, a stretch of shallow water with a deeper channel towards its eastern bank that is accessible to smaller yachts and tinnies.
