In 1982 the 35 acres was enclosed with feral-proof fencing. Once the fence was completed, the bird population flourished and the release of many native animals began. Today, Warrawong is home to 100 species of birds and many native mammals, most of which are nocturnal. The Cedars is a gracious old home containing a fine collection of paintings and drawings by artist Sir Hans Heysen. See Heysen's remarkable versatility in subject and medium. Enter Heysen's working studio, built in 1912 and used by this iconic painter until his death in 1968. See his painting materials and tools, sketches, notes and more. The Cedars's rambling cottage garden is part of the South Australian Open Garden. A walking trail is also featured on the 60 hectare property and directs visitors to favourite painting sites used by the artist. The Prancing Pony Brewery is a boutique craft brewery with a unique point of difference; 'We Fire Brew' Based in Mount Barker in the Adelaide Hills, we create beautifully crafted beers with amazing malt and hop flavours. Visitors to the Brewshed can sample and buy the full range of beers. With a licensed Cellar Door, groups of eight up to 25 can book a tour with the head brewer to learn about the fire brew process, beer flavours and beer history. Tour and group bookings are essential. We serve brew food including buttered Brezels, Pony Burgers, Currywurst and regional tasting platters. With a barista on site, coffee/tea and sweets are on offer for non-beer drinkers. Prancing Pony Brewery's is open seven days from 10am to 6pm. We regularly participate in and host events. The Prancing Pony brewery is the only true fire brewery. A historical walking trail through the remains of the Jupiter Creek gold diggings. Bushwalkers can visit the old diggings at Chapel Hill and follow the sign-posted path to find some of these relics then on to Jupiter Creek to follow the heritage trail which has signposts and information boards describing successive phases of mining at the site. It includes the 1869 chimney associated with the Beatrice Gold Mining Company, 1906 sluicing dam and the 1930 New Phoenix Tunnel. The diggings are a part of the Kuitpo Forest conservation park and registered as State Heritage Items so they'll be preserved for future generations.

The course is available for play every day with an honesty box available when the Clubhouse is closed. Members of other clubs with recognised handicaps would be welcome to join in club competitions on Thursday or Saturday mornings or Wednesday evening twilight golf, which is nine holes between 4pm and 6pm during Daylight Saving time.

The Macclesfield ANZAC Memorial Gardens located in Macclesfield, Adelaide Hills is a large native garden that has been created to provide a place of commemoration and contemplation. Covering two acres the garden is filled with memorials and artworks to commemorate the service of local men and women in times of war. A meandering walking trail has the names of hundreds of local people inscribed in the paved surface, covering periods of service from the earliest days of the South Australian colony up to the present day. A dedicated commemorative area allows for formal and informal remembrance services to be conducted as well as a site for rest and reflection. A unique feature of the garden is the interactive element, as it encourages veterans to become involved with the garden in practical ways to provide an outlet for those that are in need of a place to feel a connection and find solace. For those who enjoy gardening to budding artists and even just to enjoy a day in the hills, the Macclesfield ANZAC Memorial Gardens is worth a visit.

One of Australia's oldest family-owned jam, condiment and sauce producers, Beerenberg is run by the sixth generation of the Paech family in Australia dedicated to enriching people's lives through taste. Open all year round Monday to Sunday, except on Christmas Day, the recently renovated farm shop is open 9am to 5pm. Bring the family down and pick your own strawberries in season (late October to early May). Patch entry is AUD4.00 per adult. Children 14 years and under are free. Additional payment required of AUD9.50 per kilo of strawberries picked. Beerenberg is a must visit for all fine food lovers visiting Hahndorf. Beerenberg sits at the eastern end of the main street of Hahndorf, among the beautiful scenery perpetuated by the paintings of Sir Hans Heysen. The Paech family continues a horticultural tradition which began in 1839. Beerenberg kitchens produce jams, pickles, chutneys, mustards, marinades and sauces to old Hahndorf recipes....

Enjoy a pony ride between 11.30am and 2.30pm and now tractor rides on weekends, public and school holidays too! Then you're free to wander around and interact with our farm animals. Hold guinea pigs and baby chickens, pat miniature horses and bottle-feed baby lambs and goats and more. Wander around the Wildlife Park and feed the camels, donkeys and kangaroos.
