A thorough lesson covering water safety, rules, moorings, navigation and operation of the houseboat and all its equipment and facilities begins your adventure and exploration on the delightful Clyde River on the South Coast of NSW Austalia. The open plan living area lends itself to a relaxing holiday atmosphere with your comfort and indoor & outdoor recreation needs in mind. Clyde River Houseboats Batemans Bay have 2 double bed cabins and 2 double bunk rooms to accommodate 8 or 10 persons comfortably. A 10 berth house boat has a fold out double bed in the main lounge area. Linen and bedding is supplied so all you need is a top sheet for each bed and your towels.

Alleycat Art Haven at Long Beach specialises in traditional and contemporary artworks in a variety of mediums, unique gift ware, jewellery and craft work. Alleycat is located in a pleasant rural setting on four acres at Longbeach. Relax and indulge in beautiful Devonshire tea while you explore the gallery. Alleycat also specialises in custom picture framing from artworks to photographs. Art exhibits will be changed on a regular basis to keep the gallery fresh and also to give local artists a chance to exhibit their works in their own exhibitions.

If you're looking for a relaxed environment and a place to meet friendly people you'll find what you are looking for at Malua Bay. The Malua Bay Bowling and Recreation Club has two greens, TAB/Keno, pool tables, SKY channels and automatic teller machine. Join the club for a friendly game of bowls Thursday through Sunday on some of the best greens on the South Coast. If bowls is not your game, the Malua Bay Fishing Club is there for your enjoyment with its regular competition and social activities. You can also enjoy one of the most successful restaurants in the area. Raymonds at Malua Bay specialises in Chinese cuisine but also serves Australian meals and is open six days a week. Murramarang National Park protects over 11,977 hectares of coastal land between Kiola and Batemans Bay on the state's South Coast. Four offshore islands are also included in the park - Wasp Island, Grasshopper Island, Dawsons Island and O'Hara Island. Murramarang offers a wide range of activities including swimming, surfing, fishing, picnicking, bushwalking, photography and nature study. The park's largely undisturbed coastline with its sandy and shingle beaches, rugged headlands, tombolas, rock stacks and fossil-bearing rocks provides visitors with a rich environment to explore. Eastern grey kangaroos, swamp wallabies and common birdlife such as parrots, finches, honeyeaters and sea birds inhabit the park. Accommodation is available in caravan parks and camping areas at Merry Beach, Pretty Beach, Pebbly Beach, Depot Beach, North Durras and South Durras.

30 years of collecting shells from around the world including shells from the sea, rivers, on land and even as fossils. 25 years of opal mining has permitted this attractive display of rare opal collections, specimens and fossils from the major fields of Central Australia. The Opal and Shell Museum sells unusual gifts, souvenirs, art pictures, shells, opals, crystals, minerals, specimens, fossils, jewellery and more. They are located opposite the Coachhouse Marina Resort and right next to Catalina Country Club. Ideally located on the Eurobodalla Coast, South East New South Wales (covering the areas of Batemans Bay, Moruya, Narooma and Tilba).

The Oyster Shed on Wray Street is located on the banks of the beautiful Clyde River at Batemans Bay. The Oyster Shed is a "farm gate" for fresh oysters sold direct to the public. Oysters are sold either opened, for your immediate enjoyment, or unopened, for extended shelf-life or if you enjoy that extra freshness. Not only does The Oyster Shed offer farm fresh oysters, it has a spectacular view of the surrounding area, including the Clyde River. The Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens is situated on a 42 hectare forest site on the South Coast of New South Wales, five kilometres south of Batemans Bay. The gardens grow and display plants which occur naturally in the region. The site abounds with a wide variety of flora and fauna including many of the 2000 species of plants, trees and shrubs of the region. There are kangaroos, wallabies, bandicoots, possums, echidnas, snakes, lizards, frogs and many birds. Features include display gardens, walking tracks, picnic and barbecue areas, children's playground, a visitors centre and cafe. Please note no pets allowed in the gardens.

A good days fishing, with plenty more for tomorrow' - From Murramarang Beach to Wallaga Lake is 85,000 hectares of estuaries, creeks, rivers and lakes nearly all available for recreational fishing with little restriction. These beautiful waters are home to a very diverse range of marine life and habitats, including Dolphins, Seals, Sharks and Rays. This makes for some very exciting marine activities; at Montague Island you can even snorkel with the Seals! Kayaking is popular throughout the park as a great way to explore the waters and see some of the fantastic coastline scenery. Located just a short 10 minute drive south of Batemans Bay central business district, Surf Beach Batemans Bay is very popular with both locals and visitors alike. Lots of grassy areas overlooking the beach providing pleasant spots for general relaxation. The beach is patrolled in peak season. Local Surf Club, change room and shower facilities are available.

Enjoy oysters direct from the Clyde River farm gate to your plate at the Pearly Oyster Bar in Batemans Bay. Stefan and Kathy Paschalidis continue the farming and retail tradition established by family patriarch Christos more than 30 years ago. They farm the popular 'Sydney Rock Oyster' and the 'Angasi' (Native Flat Oyster), in the Clyde River Estuaries. Once they are harvested they are taken to the shed where they are meticulously graded for quality assurance and freshly opened for you to enjoy at the Pearly Oyster Bar.
