Laser Tag is a high-tech sport where players wearing computerised vests or packs and handheld "phasers" attempt to achieve a winning score by zapping opponent players, base stations, and other targets within a playing arena or maze.
After players put on their packs, the players move into the arena and the missions is started by the central computer. The packs will activate allowing the player to fire their phaser at opponent packs and arena devices such as base stations. Each pack has sensors on the front, back, shoulders and phaser. Zapping these areas will award points while deactivating the tagged opponent for a short time. At the end of the mission, the packs shutdown automatically and the players return to the kit-up room. Score information is displayed on the scoreboard in the foyer. You can even get a print-out your own individual scorecard!
Each mission consists of 8 minutes of actual arena time. We allow a 4 minute change-over and kit-up time. For your first mission, there will also be a 5 minute briefing where Laserzone staff will explain the operation of the packs and arena devices as well as outlining the safety rules.
When you play more than one mission, you will have a 12 minute rest between your missions.

Currimundi Lake (Kathleen McArthur) Conservation Park is a natural gem which has survived despite its proximity to Sunshine Coast developments. This type of coastal heathland is rich in plant species, many of which attract birds and insects seeking food and shelter. Wander down the track from Coongarra Esplanade through the park to the beach. After the first 130 metres of wheelchair-accessible track, pause at the lake lookout. Spot the spectacular yellow-spiked flower or knobbly seed pods of the wallum banksia. Walk quietly, looking and listening for wrens, finches and honeyeaters such as the noisy friarbird.

Dicky Beach is an unspoiled stretch of sun-drenched white sand, on Queensland's magnificent Sunshine Coast. The north-east facing beach is about two kilometres north of Caloundra and was named after the iron screw Steamship SS Dicky which was washed ashore in 1893 during a cyclone with a crew of 11 and 40 tonnes of sand. Attempts to relaunch it proved unsuccessful so it was used for local dances until someone knocked over a kerosene lamp and it was burnt out. SS Dicky is a photographic delight! The skeleton rests on a 800 metre long pristine beach stretch extending from low rocks at the northern end to a bluff and rock platform at the southern end.
