Hobart's MONA FOMA (Museum of Old and New Art Festival of Music and Art) in Tasmania will be held January 18-22 , plus a few surprise events either side. Curated by Brian Ritchie (Violent Femmes, The Break), MOFO 2017 will be held in Hobart city venues before a frenetic weekend at Mona (Jan 20-22). The festival will be packed with music and art. Mofo at Mona will be digging in deep; performances will resonate across the whole Mona site, inside and out; from the Nolan Gallery to the Organ Room; the Escher-esque stairwells to the Moorilla Barrel Room; and the outdoor stage and lawns to the sandstone Void, 14 metres underground. "Mofo asks you to surrender to music, sound, sight and space", curator Brian Ritchie says. "Mona plus music creates one big pulsing organism. Whether you are a regular visitor or first-timer, Mofo 2017 will show off Mona in unimaginable ways"....

The vineyard is part of the historic property of Craigow. An original workmans cottage has been converted into a cellar door outlet for wine tastings and sales; and is open at weekends from September to April as well as at other times by appointment..

ULTRASOUND travel through space and time, playing with inside/outside, public/private, secured/surveilled spaces. What happens in a residential panopticon architecture, the only circus in Australia? Any sound can be noticed. Turn on your internet on your phone with headphones. Start walking from the house 41 called "Beau Monde 1810" and listen around the Circus anticlockwise, following 15 audio tracks audible in front of each house. Expect to have a glass in your hand by 10:30!  Being a cool climate region Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir are the main varietals grown. This region also produces exceptional sparkling wine, some say its on a par with some of the top Champagne Houses of France.

            The drive out to the wineries takes approximately 20 minutes and we will visit 2 or 3 wineries prior to your pre-chosen lunch venue

            After lunch we can visit some more wineries or you may like to do a cheese tasting at one of the cheese mongers or have a wander around the historic town of Richmond, home of the oldest bridges in Australia and the Tasting Room a paradise for Whiskey and Gin lovers (tasting fees apply) Time permitting we can take a scenic drive back to Hobart or squeeze in one last cellar door, the choice is yours.

            Expect to be dropped off back to your accommodation by 5pm suitably replete!
