This is the perfect place to pull up for the afternoon, sit out on the deck overlooking the vines, glass of handcrafted wine in one hand and slice of wood-fired pizza in the other.

The family vineyard was planted 16 years ago and the new cellar door completed in 2013. They have used re-purposed materials from around the vineyard to reduce the amount of new material required for the building. You will see the wooden picking bins cladding the building and wine barrels throughout the tasting room.

A visit to Shaw Vineyard Estate is the perfect excuse to get out of the city and enjoy a realxing day in the country and taste the estate grown award winning wines. Shaw Vineyard Estate is located just 30 kilometers north of Canberra in the picturesque village of Murrumbateman.

The stunning cellar door also houses a wonderful collection of handcrafted Italian ceramics exclusively sourced from Italy as well as olive oils, jams, mustards, chocolates and other gift ware for purchase.

The restaurant Flint in the Vines serves delicious meals, including wood-fired pizzas. A children's menu is also available. Bookings are recommended.

Four Winds Vineyard Cellar Door is the perfect place to pull up a chair over-looking the vines, glass of hand-crafted wine in one hand and a slice of wood-fired pizza in the other.

The cellar door features some fabulous old, repurposed materials. You'll see wooden picking bins clad the building, wine barrel furniture, wine bottle windows, a Canberra red brick wall and even a second-hand shipping container.

A small family run business that lies on the 35th parallel near the village of Murrumbateman. With a passion for producing distinctive wines all from grapes grown in the vineyard using traditional wine making methods. The most important thing for production is the soil, vines and planting. The vineyard blocks are some of the highest in Murrumbateman at an altitude of 620 metres. The name Wimbaliri is derived from the local Ngunnawal dialect meaning "to drink".

Long Rail Gully is a boutique winery situated at Murrumbateman in the cool climate Yass Valley wine region. Here the ideal growing and ripening season produces premium grapes and fine wines. Long Rail Gully is a family operated vineyard and winery who take pride in their wines and love welcoming visitors to their cellar door.

The vineyard was planted on the Parker's Long Rail Gully property outside Murrumbateman in 1998 with the grapes situated in an amphitheatre position around a very large irrigation dam and picnic area. The grapes have thrived on the sustenance derived from the decomposing granite soil which is ably supported by very favourable climatic elements.

They are dedicated to producing memorable cool climate varietal wines of exceptional quality.

Formerly part of the historic Jeir Station, Barton Estate covers 220 acres of which the vineyard is 20 acres. Regarded as some of the finest viticultural land in the district, with rich red soils and a north east aspect with a low risk of frost. Family owned and operated, their award winning wines are available throughout the area. These include Petit verdot, Shiraz, Sangiovese, Riesling, Sauvignon blanc Semillon and a Cabernet blend.
