Officially opened in March 1994, this links type course was designed by Peter Toogood, and features 18 tees with gently undulating fairways to 9 large greens. The Royal Hobart Golf course is a championship 18 hole course East of Hobart in Southern Tasmania. Located at Seven Mile Beach, the course is 20 minutes South-East of Hobart (18 kilometres). The Royal Hobart Golf Course is very tight driving course demanding care from tees and accurate approaches to well bunkered greens. Heavily timbered, the layout is championship quality with dips, hollows and bunkers surrounding many of the immaculately manicured greens. There are excellent practice facilities here, club, trolley and buggy hire, and a driving range. You can also consult the expertise of the course's golf professional and relax in the clubhouse. Weave your way to Bothwell for the Bothwell SpinOut. Bring your wheel, needles, loom and have a fun filled day. Be entertained by the sheep dog trials commencing at 7am each day. Novice, improved and open sections will be judged. Entry is by a gold coin donation at the gate. All proceeds to go to the Bothwell District High School. Ben Richardson is an award winning potter, known Australia wide for his contemporary wood fired ceramics made from local clay and glaze materials. Ben has collected and tested these materials for 40 years and is represented in museums and private collections in Australia and around the world. Ridgeline Pottery is also a working pottery, making functional tableware for several of the best restaurants in and around Hobart such as The Agrarian Kitchen, Aloft restaurant, Franklin, Templo and The Black Footed Pig. Ben is currently making work for Tetsuya's in Sydney as well as Quay and Bennelong and Attica in Melbourne. His contemporary tableware also features on the dining tables of many private users who have enjoyed them in these restaurants. You can visit Ben and see him making work, browse our showroom for a full range of his wares while enjoying the environment that so inspires him. 2019 has seen us bring four international female Wood Firers to Tasmania four a month long residence at Ridgeline before they all took part in the Australian Ceramic Triennial held here in Hobart in May. ...
