The Millicent Gallery is a high quality, 'A' class, nationally known public exhibition space, the gallery has been showing a diversity of exhibitions since it opened in 1990. Renovated in 2004, the gallery has been extended to allow more room for exhibitions. As well as local, regional, national, solo and group shows, exhibitions are held to coincide with events such as the Tall Timbers Exhibition and Millicent High School's 'Art on Display' during senior examinations. Four major exhibitions are held in December to January on alternate years.
The unique man-made Millicent swimming lake is set among spacious lawns and trees and is a very popular place during the warm summer months. All facilities are well maintained and the created beach and waders pool is a feature. Plenty of shade is provided for those sunny days and a swim in the lake is the ideal way to cool off. A kiosk is available providing take away food and beverages, and there are barbecue and playground facilities available which is great for the whole family. Lifeguards are on duty during peak visitation period.

Jubilee Park is a great place for all people of all ages as it offers a picturesque space to relax, unwind and take time out. It is surrounded by gardens and manicured lawns, which are great for picnics, and it is also equipped with a barbecue and a playground for the kids. Jubilee Park is within a short walking distance of the main shopping streets of Millicent. Market days, festivals and a number of community activities are also held in the park at various times of the year.
Ant's Redgum Gallery showcases the works of disabled artist, Anthony 'Ant' Martin. The gallery displays up to 60 Australian hardwood sculptures at any one time, predominantly using redgum, but with many other pieces using the native woods stringybark and sheoak. Ant's carvings include a variety of different subject matter. Discover reptiles, birds, mammals, heavy machinery and abstract pieces as well as other subjects on over 1000 square metres of floor space. Ant can be seen creating his masterpieces in the adjoining workshops. You will see a carving of a 10 foot whale from cypress pine and a seven foot carving of Jesus from almond. At the front of the gallery there is an eight foot redgum Bald eagle and a set of three Wedge-tailed eagles eight foot tall. Of course there is a giant ant too! Enquire about tours of these magnificent carvings as every piece has a story. Located in the centre of the Limestone Coast with Penola 50 kilometres to the north, 50 kilometres west of Mount Gambier and less than 80 kilometres from the coastal towns of Robe and Beachport, Ant's Redgum Gallery makes a great day trip destination.
Millicent Skatepark is a great place for all skaters to enjoy this frequently used and well designed park. A popular venue for youth to gather and show-off their skating and bike skills. Located in The Domain, (adjacent to the Civic Centre). Parking is available in the Civic and Arts Centre car park. The Domain integrates Millicent's art, culture, library, sports, parklands and play facilities a vibrant hub of community life in Millicent.
The Mount Muirhead Lookout is a great place to view the surrounding Millicent flats, the Mount Burr Range and Forestry South Australia pine plantations. You can see across the rich black soil flats to the township of Millicent and further on the horizon to the Limestone Coast and Canunda National Park. The viewing platform is six metres by six metres in size. There are forestry interpretive signs and information at the lookout and a large car park. Mount Muirhead is the South Australian starting point for the Volcanoes Discovery Trail. The lookout is situated on the Mount Burr, Penola Road approximately six kilometres from Millicent on the right hand side as you drive over the Mount Burr Range. Take a walk up George Street at Millicent to enjoy a collection of murals representing the diverse history of the town. Located at the northern end of George Street on Watts Corner, the work of art has been created by the artist Yvonne Riley. This mural features a historic pictorial of the bridge area and depicts Millicent in the 1890s, with the bridge and drain building transport - horse and buggy. The photograph from which it was taken is in the Millicent Local History Collection. Artist Yvonne Riley also painted the other mural at the southern end of the town. This mural depicts the era when this building served as a garage and features a sedan, ute and petrol pumps of the 50s era. Opposite to this is another mural on the walls of the Millicent National Trust Living History Museum. This particular mural depicts the horse and buggy era. The Millicent murals are a unique way of capturing and interpreting the cultural development of the town.
