Family owned and operated, Langmeil is believed to be the home of the Barossa and Australia's oldest known surviving vineyard planted to Shiraz in 1843, where the iconic 'Freedom 1843 Shiraz' hails. Elderton Wines is a small, family owned and operated winery, situated in Nuriootpa - the heart of the Barossa Valley. The Elderton vineyard which was planted in 1894 by Samuel Elderton Tolley, was purchased by the Ashmead family in the late 1970's and started producing labelled bottled estate wine from the 1982 harvest. It was well after a decade of hard work and toil that the winery shot to prominence in the early 1990's, after winning the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy at the 1993 Melbourne Wine Show. There has been an amazing amount of further wine show success, including the World's Best Shiraz Trophy at the 2000 London International Wine and Spirits Competition. The vineyard is complimented by an environmentally sustainable production ethos. The winery, vineyards and general business operations are underscored by several 'green initiatives' to assist with minimising Elderton's environmental footprint. Visit our contemporary tasting room to sample the full range of magnificent Elderton wines.

Greenock Creek Wines is situated at Seppeltsfield in the rolling hills between the hamlets of Greenock and Marananga, on the western edge of the Barossa Valley. The winery's first release was in 1988, when it sold a 1986 Shiraz and a 1988 Chardonnay from its tiny cellar door situated beneath the Waugh's 150 year old stone cottage. Since then the winery has planted, grafted or acquired more vines, and now specialises in premium red wine production. Only grapes grown on the property are used, making it truly an estate winery. The range of wines includes five Shiraz, two Cabernet Sauvignons and a Grenache, all processed at the winery on the Waugh's Roennfeldt Road property. The wines are released each year in early September and are sold through cellar door, mail order, a selected number of retail outlets in Australia and a small quantity via export. The winery is every day from 11am to 5 pm except for Tuesdays, and also offers a range of bed and breakfast accommodation suites nearby.

Viking Wines is one of the smaller wine enterprises in the heart of Marananga, Barossa Vallley. The estate is a biodynamic dry-grown vineyard. The wines extracted from such grapes produces the full flavour of a true Barossa red, reflecting the distinct characters of the rich soil and sun-drenched vineyards of the pristine area of Marananga. Vinified by the new generation, the fruit is hand-picked, open fermented, and gently basket-pressed, followed by maturation in American and French oak. Slowly racked over time, and finally bottled after approximately 20 months, it's a benchmark wine with great personality. Barossa Bowland and Mini Golf at Tanunda has a modern, colourful 12 lane bowling centre with bumpers for kids and the bowling challenged, glow in the dark lighting, auto scoring and much, much more. It is the only bowling centre with a beer garden over looking South Australia's largest mini golf course with 18 holes of challenging putting. Torbreck's cellar door is housed in one of the region's original German settler's cottages, that has been carefully and stylishly restored. This house and property is the spiritual home of Torbreck and where winemaker David Powell's wine journey began. At Torbreck, we taste every wine that we make from Woodcutters Semillon through to Run Rig, provided the wine is not sold out . Tasting fee is redeemed with purchase.

Chateau Dorrien offers an experience not to be missed when you visit the Barossa Valley. Walk through an almost 100-year-old building that still has original concrete wine vats in tact, craft section and Heritage Gallery. Casa Carboni is an Italian Cooking School and Enoteca (wine and food shop) in the beautiful town of Angaston in South Australia's Barossa Valley. Established by Fiona and Matteo Carboni in 2012 who moved to the Barossa from Parma in the north of Italy in late 2011. Matteo offers two hands on cooking classes per week, to view the calendar click on the website; he also offers private classes and cooking demonstrations. The focus of the classes is the incredible farm gate produce that convinced Matteo to migrate to the Barossa, and regional Italian cuisine, with recipes that are easy to replicate at home for friends and family. Wohlers is a family owned retail business situated in the heart of the Barossa Valley Tanunda with a second store also located in Richmond, Adelaide. Both stores specialise in handcrafted mahogany furniture in both traditional and modern styles. Casual furniture, Lazboy Gallery, lounges and recliners, bedding and gorgeous gifts and home wares. Featuring one of the oldest vineyards in Australia, Turkey Flat Vineyards are a small family owned winery. Rich in the history and culture of the Barossa Valley, we invite you to visit our tasting room on Bethany Road where our friendly staff will guide you through our range of estate grown, made and bottled wines. Alternatively, for a more individual wine tasting experience join us in the "Butchers Block" tasting room for a private tasting where you will be served a flight of five hand-crafted wines carefully matched to a selection of locally produced cheeses- a unique way to try wines not usually available for tasting and gain information about food and wine matching in a relaxed environment. Irvine Wines have been heralded around the world as master Merlot makers. Expressing Eden Valley regionalism the wines are carefully crafted by father and daughter team Jim and Joanne Irvine. Grand Merlot is the flagship wine while the other wines in the Irvine Wines' portfolio are Merlot blends, a delightful Sparkling Merlot and alternative varieties such as Zinfandel, Pinot Gris and Savagnin.

The Barossa Arts and Convention centre is a world class performing arts centre in Tanunda in the Barossa. It is professionally equipped with seating for 997 people. Gully Gardens is a delightful farm shop with delicious Angaston grown dried fruit, beautiful scenery and good old fashioned service, and is a must see on a visit to the Barossa. Dried fruits include apricots, peaches, pears, prunes, nectarines and apples. A large range of homemade tasty confectionery and jams are made from the fruits, goodie baskets and gift lines. To complement the range, other Australian products are available including nuts, figs and vine fruits.

The 160 year old Silentium Cellar, once the winery and wheat shed of the Nitschke family is now the home of wine tasting at Moorooroo Park Vineyards. With its old stone craftsmanship, exposed wooden beams, and low ceilings, it's an intimate space to unwind and enjoy a taste of our Artisan range of handcrafted Barossa wines.

The traditional Germanic cottage style cellar door is nestled among majestic gum trees and vineyards. Authentic bag rubbed walls, pressed metal ceilings and a magnificent cedar bar are just a few of the impressive features of the winery. Visitors can picnic beneath the tall old gums, relax in the comfort of the Wine Bunker Room overlooking the vineyards and enjoy the intimate cosy atmosphere of the Cellar Door while tasting the exclusive range of premium and award winning wines. The character and style are unique to their vineyards and you can distinguish the excellent structure and flavour in every glass. Having won over 100 awards/commendations/medals VineCrest specialises in premium quality Barossa Shiraz, Sparkling Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Semillon and Late Harvest (dessert wine) as well as a distinctive Sweet Red and White Ports.

The Barossa Small Winemakers Centre is a showcase for wines by the Barossa's small independent winemakers. These people are the heart and soul of the Barossa, and their wines are rarely found elsewhere. The Centre features wines made by over 20 small producers from the valley. These are mostly handmade wines, produced in very small quantities by growers with small parcels of some of the finest fruit in the Barossa. Chateau Tanunda's relationship with local growers and winemakers harks back to the origins of the Chateau, which was built by a group of Adelaide businessmen keen to capitalize on the local winemaker's skills to meet demand for wine in Europe. Today, the Chateau maintains its links with the growers via the Barossa Small Winemakers Centre, carrying on a century old partnership. The centre is housed in the cellar door at Chateau Tanunda, a few minutes' walk from Tanunda.

Winemaker Rick Glastonbury can often be found in the cellar door at Kabminye Wines talking about his winemaking techniques and experiences making wines with some of the Barossa's more unusual grape varieties. His wife Ingrid's passion is the food of the Barossa, which she serves to those lunching at Krondorf Road Café, set in the cellar door. Her ancestors settled there around 150 years ago, and she likes to think that Johann Christian also appreciated the views of the Barossa ranges wrapping around the cellar door and café, designed by Rick to be eco-friendly and low toxicity. Their daughter Ilona shows her award winning artwork in the gallery upstairs, and son-in-law Craig imparts his passion and considerable knowledge of wine in the cellar door.

Winemaker Charles Melton and his partner Virginia Weckert have specialised in the production of limited release, premium red wines made from Barossa grapes since 1984. It was in the mid 1980's that Charlie and a small band of Barossa winemakers turned their winemaking efforts to what was then considered a couple of unfashionable varieties, Shiraz and Grenache. With these varieties, Charlie built a small range of classic dry reds including a Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvedre blend called the Nine Popes. Initially these wines were styled on those from the Rhone, but are now considered leading examples of the varieties in their own right. However, Charles Melton is not confined to full bodied reds alone. They also produce a light red - The Rose of Virginia, and a unique traditional Australian style Sparkling Red and have added a new member, Sotto di Ferro, which is a Vin Santo style desert wine. These wines exhibit richness and finesse that are the hallmarks of the Barossa's finest wines. They have always attracted national and international recognition. Enduring commitment to dry farmed vineyard and careful crafting of the wine will ensure this continues.

The Sorby Adams Wineroom and Pantry is the latest addition to a long and proud history of food and wine in the Barossa. Located in the picturesque town of Angaston, the Wineroom and Pantry offers both visitors to the Barossa and locals alike, a wine and food experience unmatched in the region. Step back in time with our Coopers while you watch them producing quality hand crafted port and spirit kegs. Our coopers use the age-old authentic techniques and traditional tools of keg making. The Keg Factory uses material from 60 - 80 year old American and French oak port barrels. The old oak gives richness and character to fortified wines. A miniature barrel from The Keg Factory is an authentic piece of bar furniture. The kegs impart the quality of old, matured oak to your Port, Sherry, Muscat or Spirit, speeding up the maturation process, producing mellow beverages. Groups welcome by prior arrangement.

Situated in the heart of the Barossa, Barossa Valley Brewing is a small craft brewery producing award winning ales. All of our ales are brewed in small batches and are crafted on site. Come taste our award winning Bee Sting, Organic Ale, Blonde, Saison, Canis Majoris or Imperial Milk Stout ales. You can enjoy a tour of our brewery and hear how we produce these fine ales in the Brew House every Saturday and Sunday at 12.30pm. You can then sit in our Beer Garden under the gum trees or by the fire and sample the brews. Tasting boards are available. We also offer local cider on tap and local wines. Our restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Thursday through Sunday. We have a wide selection of beer bites (beer inspired tapas), mains, pizzas and all produce is seasonal and freshly prepared. Visit the dinkum Aussie who has bred his own beautiful dogs and named them Norm's Coolies. Enjoy the love between Norm and his team of faithful companions as they win the hearts of the audience with their willingness to give an all-out performance. With constant training, Norm's dogs are closely in tune with their master and this is evident in their shows. The Barossa Valley Cheese Company is a multi-award winning manufacturer of artisan cheeses. After opening its doors in 2003 in the idyllic town of Angaston, Barossa Valley Cheese Company rapidly claimed its place in the region's celebrated wine and food culture. The range now includes 25 different styles of cheese and includes cheeses made from cow and goat milk. Company founder and head cheese-maker Victoria McClurg and her team are always seeking innovative ideas and refining traditional methods in cheese-making.

Set among the rolling hills on the banks of Greenock Creek at Seppeltsfield, Hentley Farm is a boutique, single estate vineyard that produces distinctive wines reflective of the exceptional site. Hentley Farm specialise in producing premium quality single-estate and single-block wines solely from the vines grown on their Seppeltsfield property - an old 150 acre vineyard and mixed farming property on the banks of Greenock Creek which Hentley Farm's founders Keith and Alison Hentschke acquired in the 1990s.

Rocland Estate is a boutique family owned winery located at Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley. One of the smaller wine producers in the Barossa Valley, Rocland Estate prides itself on producing good quality, uniquely labelled wines. In the James Halliday 2012 Wine Companion, Rocland Estate was the only South Australian winery to be awarded a Top 10 placing in 'The best of the best' Dark Horse Wineries of 2012. Our cellar door is open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and Saturday 11am to 4pm.

Every Saturday morning from 7.30am to 11.30am, you can taste and take home the best the Barossa has to offer. Over 50 stallholders provide a cornucopia of the freshest vegetables, meats, breads and cheeses. Delicious oils, preserves and local specialities give you everything you need for the week ahead. The growers at the Barossa Farmers Market often pick their lettuce and tomatoes and other produce just the night before market, sometimes even that very morning. Many of them grow organically. So what you take home is as fresh, seasonal and full of flavour as any produce, anywhere. What's better than bacon and eggs on Saturday morning? Having someone else cook it for you! We mean real eggs, and real bacon, served on a toasty fresh roll, with amazing sauces and chutneys to top it off. So grab a latté, pull up a bale, and forget about the dishes!

Barossa Valley Estate's Cellar Door and Functions Centre is a contemporary new building amongst the rolling hills of Marananga. With its local stonewalls, jarrah floors and bar, open fire and endless views, it is a place to enjoy and stay awhile.
