Established in the old ABC 2NR radio transmitter building in Merton Street, Lawrence is the Lawrence Museum. After getting off the Bluff Point Car Ferry turn right into Merton Street and follow the signs to the museum. As well as local memorabilia the museum highlights items associated with telecommunications and radio broadcasting from it's early beginnings in Australia. There is an exhibit recreating a Blacksmith's Workshop and also also photos and memorabilia relating to the Bluff Point Ferry. Individuals, coach companies and interested groups are invited to visit and enjoy the experiences of radio broadcasting from its very early years in Australia. They recommend coach groups consider a round trip to Lawrence as a day or part day tour incorporating the museum visit. Special bookings for coaches/groups may be made any day of the week. Group tours of the museum include a morning or afternoon tea for a minimal cost.
