Relax in the tranquil bush land setting and enjoy a family picnic or hire a barbecue while watching the activities of the farm, taking photos with the camels and feed the farm animals. Lesmurdie Falls located in the Lesmurdie Falls National Park in the hills east of Perth, are one of the more spectacular waterfalls on the Darling Range escarpment. Commencing at the top, this moderate two kilometre walk circuit meanders down to the base of the falls, up close to the lush vegetation, and is quite unique for the Perth area. This Top Trail starts on the top of the falls where Lesmurdie book tumbles over the Darling Range Escarpment. Walking down the hill, it follows the brook until it reaches a bridge at the top of the falls. Stand at the top and look over the fall of water. The trail continues down to the picnic area at the base of the hills. From here there is a trail that leads to the base of the falls. This is more like a waterfall in New Zealand than in Perth. The lush vegetation grows where the bubbling brook hits the base of the waterfall. The climb up the hill to return to the car park is steep but short. Enjoy morning tea or lunch in the near by Kalamunda Village.

Kanyana Wildlife is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to caring for sick, injured, orphaned and displaced wildlife. Kanyana Wildlife is also committed to breeding threatened species and providing vital training and community education. More than 2,000 sick, injured and orphaned animals are taken to Kanyana Wildlife each year from all over Western Australia and admitted to the onsite hospital for treatment. When they are well enough, their rescuer is contacted to collect the animal and release it where it was found. This Top Trail passes through the heart of the scenic south west of Western Australia. The track takes you through towering karri and tingle forests, down mist-shrouded valleys, over giant granite boulders and along breathtaking coastal heath lands. Bushwalkers from around the world come to Western Australia to become an end-to-ender on "The Bibb". The Bibbulmun Track offers a wide range of experiences, from an epic eight-week adventure staying in the 49 campsites along the way, to day walks, staying in comfort in one of the quaint country towns. The track passes through Dwellingup, Collie, Balingup, Donnelly River Village, Pemberton, Northcliffe, Walpole and Denmark. The campsites have a rustic timber sleeping shelter, pit toilet, rainwater tank and tent sites. The track is well marked with yellow triangular markers symbolising the 'Waugal' (rainbow serpent of the Aboriginal Dreaming)....

An old favourite that has been given a recent new lease of life with an extension back up the hill to make it longer and the addition of several wood lined berms. The speed you can rip around these will leave you grinning ear to ear. Suitable for most riders although timid riders can find the berm intimidating so should ride elsewhere in the network until their confidence has been built up. Easily accessable from Farrel Grove car park or part of a longer ride from other starting points. There are car parks on Mundaring Weir Rd at the western end and at the Dell at the eastern end. Alternatively, a safer place (from car crime) to park is the Calamunnda Camel Farm on Pauls Valley Rd. They welcome mountain bikers, the trail passes through their car park, the food is great and they even stock a few bike spares....

Perth Observatory, located 25 kilometers east of Perth in Bickley, is Western Australia’s oldest observatory. The Observatory has served Western Australia for more than 120 years and remains actively involved in the public outreach and education. Experience their amazing night sky through their wide range of telescopes at their night tours. Their volunteers will take you on a grand tour of the Southern Hemisphere’s sky with a wide range of targets including nebulas, planets and enormous star clusters. Browse their museum and see historical instruments, meteorite exhibit, astro-photographs and artwork and admire the beauty of the Atlas Coelestis, the first Star Atlas ever printed in 1729 from the work of John Flamsteed, the First Astronomer Royal at the Greenwich Observatory in Great Britain. Meet some amazing animals and passionate wildlife carers on a guided tour of Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Kanyana Wildlife is a not for profit organisation dedicated to caring for sick, injured, orphaned and displaced wildlife. Kanyana Wildlife is also committed to breeding threatened species and providing vital training and community education. More than 3,000 sick, injured and orphaned animals are taken to Kanyana Wildlife each year and admitted to the onsite rehabilitation centre for treatment. When they are well enough, their rescuer is contacted to collect the animal and release it where it was found. Join a 2 hour guided tour to find out more about this world class facility and meet some of the unique animals and dedicated volunteers that make it so extraordinary. Just over half an hour from Perth, Ellis Brook Valley Reserve is one of the easiest ways to experience one of the richest wildflower displays on the planet. The reserve is home to over 550 varieties of spring wildflowers, with walk trails to suit all abilities. It’s a seven minute drive from the nearby town of Gosnells and only a 35 minute drive from Perth to reach what many locals consider to be the best place to view wildflowers in the Perth area. The wildflowers, brook and Sixty Foot Falls are at their best in September or October, after good winter rains. Bring a picnic or cook lunch on the reserve’s gas barbeques, and see if you can spot the furry and feathered residents, including kangaroos, possums, echidnas and some of the 116 bird species found here.
