The Bayswater Historical Society has transformed Halliday House into a Heritage Centre and Museum. This 1890s home now contains past photos of the people and places of Bayswater, and memorabilia from the early part of the century.

The Railway Museum at Bassendean, Perth Western Australia is Western Australia's principal museum devoted to railway history. The collection is the only such one in Western Australia that aims to tell the story of all railways across the state - other collections focus on one aspect or a region.

The majority of the collection is from the former Government Railways, both WA and Commonwealth. However there are also items representative of the extensive timber lines and gold mines that operated in the state as well as the private lines such as the Midland Railway Company.

Formerly the Inglewood Swimming Pool, the pool originally opened on 11 February 1967.

The Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre reopened on 11 April 2001 with continued success and in excess of 13,000 attendances per week.

Luna Leederville, located at the top of the Oxford Street cafe strip situated right in the heart of Leederville's great cafes and restaurants. Luna is Perth's funkiest cinema and home to the legendary Monday Double Features. In summer Luna extends outside with the licensed Luna Outdoor courtyard cinema. The Luna Lounge a great spot to grab a bevvie before or after the movies.

From October 1999 to February 2006, Turner Galleries was known as The Church Gallery. For most of that time it was located at 264 Stirling Highway, in Claremont Western Australia. In December 2005 it moved to temporary premises, at 452 William Street Northbridge, not far from the city centre, whilst a new gallery space was being prepared.

In March 2007 the gallery relocated and opened with the new name Turner Galleries. The newly refurbished 1920's factory workshop is located at 470 William Street Northbridge, near the corner of Bulwer Street.

Turner Galleries is one of the largest commercial galleries in Perth. The gallery measures 18.3 x 10.6m, and can be divided into two gallery spaces using movable walls. Delivery, consignment and storage areas are located at the back of the complex, with an office and additional display room at the front.

The Gallery displays a broad range of contemporary art that is unique, challenging, critical and/or experimental. This encompasses painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, jewellery, and new technologies. The gallery is owned and directed by Helen Morgan, and managed and curated by Allison Archer.

We are passionate specialists in contemporary international pop, lowbrow, pop surrealism, street, tiki, modern folk, retro with a twist and underground art. We dig art that crosses over with design, pop and counter culture.

The Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) is one of Australia's leading centres for the development and presentation of contemporary art.

Housed in a large and striking heritage building in the heart of Perth, Western Australia, PICA is the city's focal point for those wishing to experience the best of Australian and international visual, performing and cross-disciplinary art.

PICA is both a producing and presenting institution that runs a year round program of changing exhibitions, seasons in contemporary dance, theatre and performance and a range of interdisciplinary projects. It boasts one of the largest and most breath-taking exhibition spaces in Australia and has become known for the leading role it plays in the presentation of significant new work.

We are a Children's Play Centre and Birthday Party venue that has been running for 15 years. We cater for ages 0 - 14 years with our play areas and structure. We have a multi-level structure with tunnels, a helicopter, submarine, spaceship and multiple slides including one that reaches from roof level down to ground level. We have a Toddler area for ages upto 4 years which includes a ballpit, a tunnel, climbing wall and slide. There is also a bouncy castle for ages upto 5 years. We have play stations and x-box's for the use of all ages. We have a full cafe for mum and dad to enjoy a coffee or lunch while the kids play.

Established in 1907, the Midland Town Hall is one of the City's most recognisable buildings, full of historical charm and ambience. Located at the corner of Great Eastern Highway and Old Great Northern Highway, the building is a perfect function venue.

The main hall has a capacity to hold 291 people or 180 in a cabaret style setting and features a fully functional stage area with lighting grid, backdrop and an extendable stage if required, as well as a commercial kitchen on site and easy access off Great Eastern Highway.

Whether you are a motoring enthusiast or simply interested in local history you will find something of interest in the Museum. We have a range of cars and motorcycles from the early 20th century through to the present.

Some vehicles have a local historic story attched to them and others are rare examples that you will only find in a few select locations around the world.

In addition you will also find a range of models, memorbilia, club newsletters and manuals relating to the automotive industry. We have a small lounge where you can sit and browse through the books, magazines and newsletters.

This is a Museum run by the public for the public and is regarded by many curators around Australia as a leading example of Motor Museums.

So next time you are in Whiteman Park make the time to visit us near the main village, and if you visit Western Australia, then a trip to Whiteman Park is worthwhile effort.
