The Minlaton Fauna Park, situated in the northern area of Minlaton, adjacent the Captain Harry Butler aircraft memorial hangar, is home to a variety of emus, kangaroos and wallabies. It is a wonderful place to get a close look at Australia's natural flora and fauna. The Park's perimeter provides many shady areas for picnic lunches, so bring the family and have a great day out.
Yorke Peninsula Visitor Information Centre - Minlaton is located in the centre of farmland on Yorke Peninsula. Winner of the South Australian Tourism Awards for Visitor Information and Services in 2009, 2010 and 2011 they were entered into the South Australian Tourism Hall of Fame. Yorke Peninsula Visitor Information Centre - Minlaton is an accredited centre and can provide all the information you need for a memorable holiday on Yorke Peninsula, as well as tourism guides for the rest of South Australia. The centre has a range of souvenirs, as well as DVDs, local history books and publications by local authors. Facilities include internet access, tearooms and a large selection of jams, pickles, relishes and sauces made by local people, as well as locally produced olive oil and salt. They also stock a great range of gluten free products. The centre includes a gallery showcasing a variety of works by local artists, as well as high quality crafts hand made by local people. Minlaton Golf Club is a challenging eighteen hole golf course (par 72) set amid natural native vegetation with sand greens. The modern clubhouse features reverse cycle air conditioning and catering facilities suitable for groups or functions up to 120 guests. Bar facilities are available and the club is licensed. BBQ's can be accessed on request. Contact the Hiring and Catering officer for further information. The course is open to all players during April to October on any day of the week. Greens fees apply per player must be paid before commencement of play. Membership is available (excludes green fee payment). Monthly family teas are available during the winter season and all visitors are welcome. Junior coaching - Friday afternoons at 4.00pm during the winter season. Visit the picturesque golf course. The Captain Harry Butler Red Monoplane Memorial houses in a glass hangar a static display of the Captains famous little monoplane Red Devil and celebrates his life and achievements. Harry Butler was a local boy who grew up with a fascination for flight, including that of his mother's chooks! Using his own resources he travelled to England to join the air force during the First World War, and in time become a gifted instructor and heroic pilot. An information booklet is available from Yorke Peninsula Visitor Information Centre at Minlaton for the cost of AUD3.50. While in the area you can visit Minlaton Museum for further information on this fascinating story. The display is adjacent to a newly upgraded playground, toilets and picnic area and is a great place for you and your family to stop for a break.

Harvest Corner Information and Craft is a unique combination of an accredited visitor information centre and locally handmade creations. Winner of the South Australian Tourism Awards for Visitor Information and Services in 2009, 2010 and 2011, they gained entry into the South Australian Tourism Hall of Fame in 2011. The centre is housed in a lovely heritage building, with the makers of the craft and produce assisting behind the counter as volunteers. This is the place to find high quality local creations and artworks. Come in and enjoy a browse through the different rooms filled with beautiful craft items. Purchase some locally made jams, pickles, relishes and sauces, or a packet of scrumptious biscuits. Sit in the tearooms, enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee or tea, and treat yourself to a slice of delicious homemade cake. Chat with a volunteer behind the counter and find out about the different attractions and events around the Yorke Peninsula.
