Tallagandra Hill is a small family owned winery located in the premium wine producing Canberra District. Noted for is excellent cool climate wines, the Canberra District offers a long slow ripening period with wet springs and dry autumns. Perfect for producing premium grapes that have good flavour and high natural acidity. Established in 1998, it currently produces wines made from Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Riesling, Viognier, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. The goal of Tallagandra Hill is to produce premium wines that compliment great food and are a joy to drink on their own. Attention to detail from the pruning and training of vines, through to vinification, maturation and bottling, ensures that the highest standards are achieved. Tallagandra Hill wines are available through the Cellar Door, mail order, online or selected local restaurants and bottle shops.

Joshua's Fault wines are created by careful and gentle handling, from the selection and picking of the fruit, right through to the bottling and cellaring of the final product. Using age old winemaking methods, along with patience and attention to detail, they are able to produce winesthey are proud to offer you. Their wines have been very well received by the trade, with a focus on fine dining venues. Continued consumer preference for their wines has enabled them to retain their place on many fine dining restaurant wine lists from vintage to vintage. Their single vineyard wines are handmade in small batches with great attention to detail, using only the best French oak. Production is limited with the wines selling out every year. They welcome visitors to their Gundaroo vineyard and winery by appointment.

Capital Wines is a small wine company, located in the beautiful stone stables of the historic Royal Hotel. The Capital Wines Epicurean Centre showcases the wines from Capital Wines' boutique Murrumbateman winery. Sit around the copper tasting counter with friends and enjoy epicurean tastings or perhaps share one of the produce platters on the terrace overlooking the kitchen gardens. The Cellar Door and Cafe is open for tasting and wine sales. All group wine tastings (eight or more people) must be booked ahead and tasting fees may apply. Epicurean Tastings are only available weekends and must be booked. Epicurean tastings may not be offered on public holidays or on special event days. The Epicurean Tasting is seated on stools - please advise if chairs are required at time of booking.

Gundaroo Music Festival

The Gundaroo Music Festival is a celebration of music, bringing together the finest national talent available for a one day event that will attract a crowd of more than 3,000 people. Music lovers will come together to enjoy 12 hours of non-stop entertainment from 10am till 10pm. The evening will include a fireworks displays for all to enjoy at 8:30pm. Festival attendees will be spoilt with a choice of the following: wine tasting from regional wineries; food and produce stalls; local arts and handcrafts; a kid's zone with jumping castles, face painting, super heroes, and petting zoo; a mechanical bull; roaming entertainment; 4x4 Extreme Display; a fully catered VIP and sponsors; and evening fireworks spectacular. Limited disabled parking is available adjacent to the main entrance. Pets are not permitted to the Goulburn Toyota Gundaroo Music Festival....

Old Saint Lukes Studio is situated in an historic stone building constructed in 1848 as a church and school. The gallery is home to the wood-fired ceramics of Ian Jones and Moraig McKenna. Ian and Moraig's works are fired in a 9 metre long anagama style wood-fired kiln. Fired up only three times a year for five days, the kiln ash delivers a unique effect making these works highly sought after around the world. After these firings, a garden exhibition is held to present their new works.

The beautifully-preserved village of Gundaroo is a popular place for visitors. Lying in a fertile valley with rich grazing land on the upper reaches of the Yass River, Gundaroo retains all the elements of a typical 19th century Australian township. Gundaroo's major attractions are a number of historic buildings still in use today that were constructed between 1860 and 1890. A range of building styles and materials including slab huts, wattle and daub, stone and locally-fired brick is on display. The Royal Hotel (1865) has an award-winning restaurant, Grazing, while the old Commercial Hotel (1872) now trades as the Gundaroo Colonial Inn. Fully-restored and recognised as one of the country's best historic hotels, this establishment has remained in continuous operation, holding its colonial wine licence for the past 130 years. Pizza and coffer are served in the Cork Street Café, once the local police stables and lock-up....
