Specialist in Asian Fine Arts and Antiques

East and West Art Gallery was established in 1973 at High Street, Armadale before moving to High Street, East Kew in 1989. The primary focus has been a commitment to exhibit the best in Asian Art to complement its Asian antiques from 3000 BCE to 19th Century. The gallery has developed into one of the major representatives of prominent Asian artists worldwide.

Director and founder Marjorie Ho is a certified valuer to all the State and regional Galleries of Australia. She has discovered and broken grounds in Australia with South-East Asian ceramics and textiles, as well as many famous Asian Artists for the public tio view and collect.

The range of work is astounding: Contemporary and Antique Paintings, Woodblock Prints,
Sculptures, Weavings and Ceramics. Each year five solo or mixed exhibitions are held. Between these, collections of representative artist’s works are available.

The gallery also exhibits antiques from all over East Asia and China. Discovering antique ceramics in small countries previously seldom shown in Australia and subsequently collected by many of the major State and Regional Galleries for their collections. These pieces are on permanent display downstairs.

THE DULDIG STUDIO—a “house museum”—comprises the residence, sculpture garden and artists’ studio of the internationally renowned sculptor Karl Duldig (1902–1986) and his artist-inventor wife, Slawa Duldig (neé Horowitz, c1902–1975).

Both a cultural and educational resource, the museum holds an extensive collection of sculptures, paintings, drawings and decorative arts presented in the artists’ authentic home setting.

The Duldig Studio is a not-for-profit deductible gift recipient public museum and art gallery.

A space in which artists can invite people to wonder The “Chapel on Station Gallery”, located in central St Box Hill, is a gallery established by the Box Hill Baptist Church. The gallery has sprung from a desire by the church community to encourage emerging artists and community groups interested in exploring art that elevates the soul. It is based on a conviction that art expresses a deep spiritual need that when shared draws others to ‘wonder’. The Gallery opened in May 2005, and is located in the Chapel area of the Church, on the corner of Station St and Ellingworth Pde, Box Hill, in the heart of the restaurant precinct, opposite significant shopping centres, and in easy access of the region’s public transport train and bus depot.

Along with a number of resident artist, The Art of Life® Gallery is a for hire art space offering a venue for visiting artist to display their work.

The Art of Life® Gallery aims to present a warm & inviting venue for local artist to display and sell their work.

The gallery is available for events and exhibition hire and is  located on the corner of Molan & Heatherdale Roads in Ringwood and is a revival Tudor building. Many of the building’s historic features remain like the original polished floorboards & character walls & high ceilings.

We offer a range of services including Gallery Hire, Framing, Giclée Printing as well as installation and freighting solutions.
 

AGRA Galleries is located at Guild House in Camberwell, Victoria.

The Bolin Bolin Gallery is a bright, airy and separate space in the Bulleen Art & Garden shop overlooking the Food Forest.

Approximately 8 exhibitions featuring sculpture, pottery, baskets, paintings etc by local artists are held each year.

The ELCG is located within the foyer of the Eltham Library. The walls are mud brick. A hanging and lighting system is part of the ELCG and hanging rods and plinths are available for exhibitors.

The ELCG aims to provide the general public the opportunity to view and engage with work by local artists in all stages of artistic career. It provides artists with the opportunity of a gallery exhibition and through mentorship and guidance it fosters professional development for emerging and amateur artists. The ELCG program also recognises and values the experience of mid career artists who choose to exhibit in this venue.

Manningham Gallery is the City of Manningham's major contemporary art venue. Its main focus is the contemporary exhibition program which encompasses a broad range of visual arts practices including painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, drawing, photography, installation and multi-media artworks.

The Gallery is located at the front of the Council Offices in Doncaster (12km or 20 minutes from Melbourne City via the Eastern Freeway). There is ample car parking for Gallery visitors and building signage marks the location of the Gallery. The Gallery entrance is prominent upon entering the building and there is wheelchair access.

Manningham Gallery was established as a public gallery in 1985 in the municipal offices by the Doncaster and Templestowe Arts Association, with strong support from the City of Doncaster and Templestowe. Management of the Gallery was handed over to Manningham City Council in 1997, and in 2001 was relocated to a purpose-built space in the new Function Centre at the Manningham City Council Offices.

Australian artist and artisans through the sale of their handmade work and by providing a Gallery were the new and experienced artist can exhibit.

The idea for Opendrawer came out of a conversation about our dreams and as both of us had a very similar dream we decided to make them a reality. We are two very different but complementary women who decided that it was the right time for us and we invite you to join us on our journey.

Hawthorn Studio and Gallery was established in November 2009 by Angela and Graeme Foote.

Previously Angela and Graeme had run a successful sculpture studio called Surrey Sculpture Studio in Surrey Hills for over 15 years where they had a team of sculptors working on large and varied commission work for local, national and overseas clients.

Hawthorn Studio and Gallery is situated in Australia at 635 Burwood Road, Hawthorn East, Victoria and exhibits a range of emerging and mid career artists from across Australia. The gallery also features an open studio for Sculptor in residence Graeme Foote.

The Waverley Cinema was originally designed as a theatre-restaurant over thirty years ago. Mr Chris Bedelis of Waverley Road, Mount Waverley, constructed the building along with the row of shops connected to the cinema.

The Theatre-Restaurant complex was to be a two-part business. The licensed restaurant on the first floor was to be run by former Waverley councillor Doug Mayson. While the ground floor cinema was to be managed by film equipment supplier Brian Jean. Brian Jean of Mount Waverley and his family have run the cinema since it’s opening in 1974.

Reading Entertainment Inc began in the 1830s but began its focus on cinema exhibition in the early 1900s, entering the Australian market in 1996. Since this time, 19 venues have been opened with a total of 136 screens nationwide, making Reading the largest independent cinema operator nationwide.

Phoenix Theatre Company Inc. is a non-professional musical theatre company based in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. We perform two or three shows a year - in May, September and November. Rehearsals are held in Leeds Street, Doncaster East.
