The Candle Shack's beautifully crafted candles are handmade on bushland premises in Basin View, adjacent to the relaxing waters of St Georges Basin and only 15 minutes from stunning Jervis Bay. Candles are made using paraffin wax, essential oils and a variety of shaped and novelty moulds. They are scented or unscented and decorated in either splashed or marbled designs. Classic white is also available and the range also includes a large and unique variety of novelty figurines. The Candle Shack takes special orders around certain scents and/or colours. They conduct demonstrations, and provide morning or afternoon tea, for groups from 12 to 50 people any day of the week (small fee applies) and have parking for coaches. Only five minutes from the Princes Highway, your coach can drop in for a browse and to sate your curiosity. With very few Chandlers around anymore, everyone enjoys even the briefest experience.

This quiet bushland spot serves up a perfect setting for lazy afternoons with the family, or even a solo retreat beneath the casuarina trees of Wandandian Creek. Right by the water, there are picnic tables and pump-out toilets – just enough to make a visit convenient without destroying the tranquil atmosphere. Birds frolic through the canopy and there are enough fish in the creek to make this a popular haunt of fishermen. Pack a picnic lunch and kick back with a weekend newspaper, or bring a kayak for something a little more active – a launching platform gives easy access to the undisturbed waterway. There are even some walking routes - Anabranch loop track and Delta track - which leave directly from the picnic area and offer great opportunities for some light exercise to work up an appetite. Take a stroll and then reward yourself with the rest of the day off, paddling in the water and enjoying the sun....

Along with stunning bushland, there’s Wandandian Creek and the quiet shoreline of St Georges Basin. Corramy is largely a local haunt, with people from the villages between Nowra and Ulladulla making the most of their weekends in this natural gem. But anybody is welcome, and one visit is all it takes to have you coming back again and again....

Passing two small beaches as it twists through eucalypts and scrub brush, Delta track offers opportunities to fish in the creek, plus terrific birdwatching the entire way. Glossy black cockatoos have been sighted in the area. Don’t forget to look down, too - those small holes along the track are made by elusive long-nosed bandicoots. Bring a camera just in case. After completing Delta track, settle down at the picnic area for a leisurely lunch, or consider extending your walk to take in the shorter Anabranch loop track as well....
