INDEX. is a con­tem­po­rary Artist Run Ini­tia­tive in St. Peters, Syd­ney. Our aim is to allows artists to take risks and exper­i­ment with new work in a con­text that pro­duces dia­logue around the work and allows for the reflec­tion of peers. Eight long term stu­dios are com­bined with two short term project spaces to encour­age the diver­sity of dia­logue and increase the pos­si­bil­ity of chal­lenge or influ­ence across both gen­er­a­tional and dis­ci­pli­nary boundaries.

Our pro­gram ranges from solo and group exhi­bi­tions to devel­op­men­tal project space res­i­den­cies, per­for­mance events, read­ing groups and other dia­logue pro­duc­ing activ­i­ties. INDEX. is also com­mit­ted to cre­at­ing con­nec­tions with other local, grass roots orga­ni­za­tions, facil­i­tat­ing coop­er­a­tive arts and com­mu­nity con­ceived advocacy.
