Lazy Ballerina is a special discovery for those in the know. Situated amongst five acres of garden, Lazy Ballerina is the home of the Hook family, renowned winemakers in the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. They have converted their home into a cellar door, which is open to those lucky enough to stumble upon it. The cellar has sweeping garden views and is the perfect place to relax for lunch. The Hook's serve their own platters and pizzas, or you can enjoy a homemade scone with tea or coffee. Of course, if you are into your wine, they can offer you a taste of some of the regions' best Shiraz, which are multiple gold medal winners. The cellar door and gardens are located on the sweeping bend across from Kuitpo Forest, a ten minute drive from McLaren Vale or Meadows.

Adelaide's Underwater Heritage Trail explores four shipwrecks located in Gulf St Vincent - the Grecian, Zanoni, Star of Greece and Norma. These wrecks represent a variety of vessels associated with trade and development in South Australia during the nineteenth and early twentieth century's and spans the period of British shipbuilding from 1841 to 1893. The remains demonstrate the four major types of materials used in sailing vessel construction during that era - wood, composite (wood and iron), iron and steel. This trail extends from the Star of Greece, off Port Willunga, to the Zanoni, about 15 kilometres south east of Ardrossan, and includes a brochure and four underwater plaques placed adjacent to each wreck.

The heritage-listed Courthouse Museum is an authentic 19th Century courtroom with jury and prisoner boxes, cells and exercise yard - ideal for courtroom re-enactments. Our premium Rocky Ridge Shiraz and GSM is produced from low yielding vines from the Sellick Hill region of McLaren Vale, South Australia.
Traditional and minimal handling techniques allowed the wines to be fermented in open vats, basket pressed and then matured in seasoned French Oak.
Only the finest parcel of the fruit goes into the Rocky Ridge series, hence the small volume.
Rocky Ridge Wines produces premium Shiraz and GSM (Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre) and these are available throughout the region at selected restaurants and cafes as well as directly from our cellar door sales.
Come and visit the Rocky Ridge Vineyard and spend some time tasting our wine whilst overlooking the vineyard and the further Southern Vales wine region from the slopes of Sellicks Hill and the vantage of our raised viewing deck.
