From your spacious queen size bedroom, you can watch the birds in the bird baths and the clouds going by. Wanawong Retreat believe in stepping lightly on the earth, so there are solar panels for electricity and hot water, and where rainwater is captured. The organic vegetable and orchards are tastefully netted (due to the abundant bird life) and keep the property supplied all year. Guests love the home grown seasonal fruit and jams are provided....

Otway Estate Winery and Brewery occupies a forest clearing in the northern foothills of the Otway ranges, 10 minutes south of Colac. Set amidst the backdrop of native eucalypts, the estate is home to a winery, brewery, function centre and caf?, as well as three self-contained spa cottages. The cellar door and Prickly Moses brewery outlet is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Visitors can taste a range of beers, ciders and wines produced at the estate and brewery, and can enjoy a light lunch in the caf? during these times. The large deck overlooking the dam is a lovely way to soak up the serenity of the Otways, and in the cooler months people can warm themselves by the fire inside. The self-contained spa cottages offer a peaceful getaway, with views overlooking the bush and the vines. All cottages enjoy a sense of privacy, a relaxing spa, their own deck, a well-equipped kitchen and undercover parking. Otway Estate is also a dog-friendly location, and welcomes well behaved canines on leash.
