The Boat Shed is a modern fully self-contained waterfront holiday cottage a 25-minute drive from Hobart. The Boat Shed is on a secluded five acres overlooking Gorringes Beach on Mortimer Bay, with three kilometres of white sandy beach to stroll along and hardly a soul to be seen, and views across Ralphs Bay to Mt Wellington and Hobart. It's a romantic hideaway far enough from town to provide solitude, but close enough to enjoy the many attractions of Hobart and Tasmania's South. Walking tracks are at your front door. The 'Tangara Trail' starts at South Arm, passes by the Boat Shed and ends at Seven Mile Beach, a distance of 15 kilometres. To relax, you can select from the library of reading material at your disposal, produce the next Picasso at your leisure, select from our movie collection or simply watch the ever-changing weather roll across the bay. It's an easy drive to the many attractions on the Tasman Peninsula, a 20-minute drive to Hobart Airport, 25-minute drive to historic Richmond and a leisurely drive into Hobart. Close to golf courses, wineries, restaurants, horse riding and the beautiful beaches of the South Arm and Tasman Peninsula. Minimum two night stay.

Tasmania's international cricket ground and the Kangaroo Bluff Historic Fort are also close by. There's a fresh fish punt at Bellerive wharf just over a kilometre away. Just across the river visit Hobart's waterfront where you can easily spend the day strolling around the galleries, craft shops and restaurants in Salamanca Place and visit the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and the Maritime Museum.

The self-contained apartment styled two-bedroom accommodation offers a modern stainless steel kitchen opening onto a private deck with beautiful coastal views. Each bedroom offers luxury king sized beds with goose down doonas. Either room can be reconfigured to suit families or groups including two couples, parents with children or four singles. Ben Richardson is an award-winning potter. You can eat from his pots in your kitchen, visit the showroom attached to the pottery and see his amazing wood-fired kilns as well as watching him work. You can be a part of this art based life. Being close to Hobart means Ridgeline makes a great base for many day trips but mostly it's a fantastic place to relax. It's close to everything but with a feeling of being in a rural costal setting.

The Llanherne Golf Club is located north-east of Hobart near to the beachside township of Seven Mile Beach. It is a nine-hole, 18 tees, Par 72 course designed by Peter Toogood. Opened in March 1994, this links type course features 18 tees with gently undulating fairways to nine large greens. Two lakes and numerous bunkers add to the challenge. Members Competition is played on Saturdays, Ladies Competition on Tuesdays and Mixed Competition (Open to visitors) on Thursday, 0900 for 0930 Shot Gun Start. Visitors with handicaps welcome.
