Located eight kilometres north of Lockhart at 'Quamby', Sunshine Iris Nursery currently have over 300 varieties of Iris flowers and over 100 varieties of Daylilies. They specialise in the older vintage bearded Iris varieties including tall bearded, median bearded and dwarf bearded Iris. Their Daylilies include large, doubles, spider types and miniature varieties. They also plan to introduce a selection of the newest bearded Iris from breeders around the world. Come visit them and take a stroll through their designer garden nursery. You can make purchases from any of their 400 plus varieties of Iris and Daylilies.

The newly refurbished Green's Gunyah Museum is situated in the main street of Lockhart. Run by the Lockhart and District Historical Society, the museum operates the local Visitor Information Centre. There is a wealth of material in the Museum collection, with an extensive range of historical artefacts, photography and machinery on display, all with their own story to tell. Of note are the artefacts from Brookong Station, scene of the famous Shearer's Strike in 1888. The Shearer's Strike are a nationally important story illustrating changes in land tenure, land use and the character of rural settlements from the first settlements in the 1840s through to the 20th Century. The museum is also home to the to the well known Doris Golder Gallery, a fabulous collection of 'Wool Art' by local artist Doris Golder. The collection includes portraits of notable Australians, as well as local landscapes and animals.

Washed, combed and undyed, Doris has been using naturally coloured wool to create an amazing array of landscapes and portraits since the early 1980s. From Slim Dusty and Greg Norman to Bob Hawke, Tim Fischer and many more famous faces, Doris has captured their very essence by using this unique and highly skilled medium. Now housed in the Doris Golder Art Gallery within Green's Gunyah Museum in Lockhart, the portraits and pictures created by Doris continue to enthrall and amaze visitors and locals alike.

The Pastoral Shadows of Brookong is an easy grade, circular walk that takes you on a pictorial trail of Lockhart's history, creating a story through the use of rusted iron, scraps of metal, and other natural materials. Built over a number of years by the community with the assistance of talented farm art sculpturer, Stuart Spragg, the impressive and ever growing collection of rusty iron sculptures capture the very essence of Lockhart's past, giving visitors a glimpse of rural life in the 1800s, when Lockhart and the area to the west of the town was a huge sheep station. As you stroll through the sculptures, discover settlers, stockmen, drovers, and the ever popular 'Swaggy' amidst the sheep, kangaroos, farm dogs, and brolgas. Well worth the stroll and a camera is a must. Parking is available adjacent to the Lockhart Motel.

Set close to the historic main street, the Lockhart Water Tower Mural, depicting a cascading waterfall surrounded by many of the unique native fauna and flora found in the local landscape, has rapidly become one of the most incredible pieces of public art in the Riverina. Undertaken by talented Blue Mountain artists, Scott Nagy and Janne Birkner (Krimsone), the artwork reflects the importance of one of the regions most vital assets - water. The artwork, covering a surface of more than 600 square metres, was created freehand using spray cans in natural hues to complement the Lockhart streetscape and to harmonise with the natural environment. A stunning rosella, gorgeous willy wag tails, a watchful kookaburra and magnificent mapgies are just some of the birds which feature on the main part of the tower, while soaring brolgas can be seen across the skyline. A cheeky possum, shy echidna and kangaroos lazing under a shady tree are also depicted in their natural habitats. The mural is easily accessible to visitors, and is situated in a pretty park with modern public toilet facilities.
