The blueberry is one of nature's exquisite taste sensations, and there are no better blueberries in the country than those harvested from South Australia's leading plantation, The Blueberry Patch. Nestling in the Fleurieu Peninsula's beautiful Nangkita Valley where rich peat soils are fed by pure natural spring waters, The Blueberry Patch produces what connoisseurs call the 'true' blueberry flavour. Blueberries are truly versatile, as much at home in muffins, pies and coulis as they are in a fresh fruit salad. Little wonder that blueberries are the first pick of many of Australia's leading chefs. The Blueberry Patch sells fresh berries pre-picked or pick your own daily from mid December to mid February subject to seasonal availability, or packaged frozen fruit throughout the year while stocks last. If making a special trip we suggest telephoning first to avoid disappointment.

Top Note Vineyard

546 Peters Creek Road, Kuitpo SA 5201

Just over the hill from McLaren Vale, on a beautiful road winding past Kuitpo Forest, lies Top Note, a premium cool climate Adelaide Hills vineyard.

Top Note Vineyard is a world apart from the vale, sitting at 330 metre elevation. Altitude and exposure to cool south-easterlies blowing up off the Southern Ocean keep us up to 10 degrees cooler than our neighbours in the vale, allowing us to grow cool climate varieties like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and our rare Red Semillon as well as producing elegant Shiraz and beautifully structured Cabernet Sauvignon.

Owners Cate and Nick Foskett hand select the very best of each crop to make into small batches of exclusive, hand crafted wines under the Top Note label. The first Top Note release is a dessert wine made from the very rare Red Semillon - a pink berried relative of Semillon Madeira. The citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit on the nose are followed up on the palate with hints of granny smith apples.

Top Note will shortly be releasing a Pinot Noir and Shiraz from the 2014 vintage is currently maturing in new French Oak.

Tastings are by appointment - either by calling or emailing.

The vineyard became known as the K1 Vineyard as this unique, groundbreaking site was the first commercial planting of vines in the Kuitpo (pronounced 'ky-po') region.

Today, the K1 by Geoff Hardy wines are considered to be amongst some of Australia's finest ultra-premium, single estate wines. Geoff and his family continue their work to keep it that way and to make sure that the K1 cellar door maintains its reputation as one of Australia's leading cellar door experiences.
