After you have driven the undulating and challenging outdoor track with its rural surroundings you will want to come back. Picton Karting Track will offer you the opportunity to develop your driving skills with a lot of fun. ‘See you at the Track!’

Please note: 30minutes, 45 minutes and 1 hour sessions are taken in 15 minutes portions.

At Picton Karting Track we take pride in our attention to detail of which safety is top of the list. All drivers are given thorough instructions on safety and are monitored throughout the event.

Important rules & regulations


Drivers must be 14 years of age and over. Driver’s under 18 years require guardian’s consent. Prior to any event the consumption of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. Motor racing is dangerous and is a non-contact sport. Persons with medical conditions and pregnant women should seek doctor’s advice before undertaking any motorsport activities. Enclosed footwear is required, helmets and race suits are supplied at no extra cost.

Cedar Creek Orchard is a third generation family run orchard. The Silm family first planted apples in 1941 on this beautiful 100 acre property. Shed sales of peaches and nectarines from mid November to January. Apples are available from February through until June. Persimmons are on from April until June. Quality Apple and Apple and Blackcurrant juices are made on site. Offering guided group tours by arrangement (with cost) which includes an orchard tour, fruit and juice tastings and watch an apple crush to produce the famous Black Label juices. Orchard tours are approximately one and half hours duration with the kids enjoying a tractor ride around the property. Cedar Creek Orchard is open to the public from November through until June. If you would like to visit on Saturdays it is essential to ring first.

Follow the path until you reach the beginning of the cycle way, a nine kilometre return walk or ride on a flat surface. Parking for cars and coaches is available at RSL Park or on Regreme Road. Viewed from the surrounding parkland, the Railway Viaduct over Stonequarry Creek is a picturesque site located at the end of Webster Street, Picton, which also has some historic old houses. It was built of sandstone between 1863 and 1867 at a time when John Whitton was responsible for railway construction in New South Wales. This excellent example of railway viaduct design is 84 metres long and has five arches, the highest measuring 30 metres. Close to Picton railway station, it was built for two lines of track and although it is not the first railway viaduct built in the state, it is considered unique because it is the oldest still in use today. ...

Wirrimbirra is a flora and fauna sanctuary run entirely by volunteers who are dedicated to the preservation and conservation of Australia's unique flora and fauna. It has over 200 acres of preserved native bushland - the unique flora of the remaining part of the area known as the 'Bargo Brush' in colonial times, but known and frequented, much longer by the traditional Aboriginal peoples including the Dharawal. It is effectively divided into two distinct portions by the Southern railway line. The eastern portion comprises most of the Sanctuary area and is predominately natural Bargo Brush with some tracks for use as guided nature study trails of the natural bush and early European building ruins and earthworks. The western portion is much smaller and is mostly developed land. This portion contains buildings (visitors centre, storage and work sheds and accommodation cabins), several enclosed fauna protection areas, a native plant nursery and floral gardens. The David G. Stead Memorial Wild Life Research Foundation of Australia is responsible for the overall management and operation of the Sanctuary. The Mushroom Tunnel, formally known as the Redbank Range Railway tunnel, is historically significant as the first railway tunnel used by the NSW Railways. The tunnel is a fine example of the stone masonry and design of the 1800s and is also one of the structures and works which provide evidence of the Great Southern Railway. During WWII the tunnel was used for defence storage until many years later when it was used to commercially grow mushrooms. Experiencing some tragedies in its time, the tunnel is rumoured by many locals to experience paranormal activity. Ghost tours frequented the location in the past to witness firsthand the cold and eerie surroundings inside the tunnel, however due to deterioration it’s now dangerous for visitors to walk through. Access to the Mushroom Tunnel is free and available on weekdays (closed public holidays). The tunnel can only be viewed from the outside to ensure visitors safety.
