Logan City Council opened Logan Art Gallery in 1995 as a community based initiative which celebrates Logan and Queensland artists and provides a dynamic program for residents and visitors who enjoy the visual arts.

Exhibitions change approximately every six weeks and the program seeks to explore the diversity of art making in Australia. Priority is given to Logan artists' work.

As part of the Queensland network of regional galleries, the Logan Art Gallery shows a mix of touring exhibitions, local artists' work, visiting artists and permanent collections.

Located in the Brisbane-Gold Coast growth corridor, just 20 minutes south of Queenslands capital city, Brisbane. Sunnybank Theatre Group (inc) is one of Brisbane\\\\'s most affordable non-professional theatre companies. Since 1965, we have presented a variety of dramas, thrillers, comedies, pantomimes, and musicals.

Our members, performers, stage crew, front of house & box office staff, and the committee are all enthusiastic volunteers who are driven by their passion for community theatre. We welcome anyone who would also like to contribute to the life of our theatre.

Our fully licensed bar offers a range of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks as well as tea and coffee. The bar remains open after shows for patrons to enjoy a drink with the cast and crew. The theatre is also fully air-conditioned.

The Society has enjoyed over 50 years of successful operation. Its venue is the Anglican Church Hall of St Luke\'s at Ekibin Rd East, opposite the junction of Sexton St, Annerley (or Tarragindi.)
Auditions are not held. Instead, we present rehearsed and staged play-readings over a particular weekend where the potential of an aspiring member can be assessed. Four major plays (comedies being the most popular choice) are presented each year and new members who have shown promise are given roles along with the main established actors.
Guest directors are invited into the yearly program to keep the standard high and we attract good audiences. Each major play season runs for 8 performances including 2 matinees.
From profits, exceedingly generous donations are directed to a long list of charities, including World Vision, Smith Family Sponsorship and local and overseas charities.
The hall has been set up as a theatre venue that attracts other fund-raisers who benefit from our discount offers for Block Bookings of 20+. Parking is accessible both in the grounds and nearby streets. The hall is a 7 minute drive from the City Centre, a phone is installed for patrons\' use and buses pass the door.

The Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble exists to engage Southeast Queensland communities with Shakespeare - in order to strengthen the connections and relationships between community members, and to create evocative, engaging theatre that awakes the senses and impassions the lives of its audiences and artists.

The Princess Theatre is the oldest theatre on mainland Australia, and is listed on the Queensland Heritage Register.

Constructed in 1888 in Annerley Road, Woolloongabba, the Princess Theatre is designed to an ornate Italianate style.

There were few productions staged in the 1890s and appropriately a clothing business was established in the dress circle during this period. It was still used periodically as a theatre but it is best remembered for film screenings which occurred after 1912.

The Gabba has a team of dedicated volunteers who conduct venue tours on a regular basis.

Tours usually take between one hour and one-and-a-half hours depending on the number of attendees and will give you a first hand look at the venue’s impressive facilities including player facilities, media rooms, the Members Dining Room with memorabilia, the Gabba’s indoor and outdoor practice wickets and even access to the main field (subject to team requirements and field maintenance).

Milani Gallery specialises in contemporary Australian art with a focus on supporting Queensland artists. Laser skirmish is "electronic paintball". Laser skirmish is an outdoor combat team sport much like paintball, but without the bruises. It is fast paced and extreme. Unlike the old style arena indoor games you might have heard of, we play outdoors. Each team is equipped with infrared weapons and sensor caps. Players shoot an invisible and harmless infrared beam, similar to the ones uses in your TV remote control.

We play stand-alone missions like “Capture the Flag”. Plus we are able to adjust the number of health points needed to "die" .

Laser Skirmish is similar to any role-playing or interactive computer game each player takes on the role of a fictional character. You play your character much as you would in any role-playing/virtual setting but even more so. Instead of saying what actions your character takes you actually take those actions for real. North of Moreton Island lies a 50 metre iron barque which sank in 1894 after a 122 day sail from New York, carrying a cargo of kerosene, glassware, wire bails and alarm clocks. Timber artifacts under the sand have been preserved from being drenched in kerosene. In fact, the Aarhus is considered one of Australias first major marine oil spills!

The Fryer Library is the branch of The university of Queensland Library responsible for special collections. Its collections include rare books, ephemera, manuscripts and photographs. Its particular strengths are in Australian literature and especially literary manuscripts, history and political culture with an emphasis on Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies, theatre, art and architecture. In addition to approximately 100,000 volumes of publications, there are manuscripts, rare books and research theses.

The Museum was established in 1988 to display scientific instruments and devices dating back to the origin of The University of Queensland in 1911. Optical, electrical, acoustical and many other types of equipment are represented. As well as the near antiques, with their shining brass and glowing mahogany, the collection also houses examples of more modern but equally obsolete items like electron tubes, spiral slide rules, a computer cardpunch and sheets of computer magnetic core memory. Most of the items on display are of interest as they illustrate principles of physics and highlight the craftsmanship involved in their making. The museum also has collections of relevant books, catalogues and instruction manuals.

The University of Queensland (UQ) is a public university located in state of Queensland of Australia. Founded in 1909, it is the oldest and largest university in Queensland and the fifth oldest in Australia. The main campus is located in the suburb of St Lucia, southwest of the Brisbane City Central Business District. The University of Queensland is a member of the Australia's Group of Eight, and the international research-intensive universities network Universitas 21. UQ is colloquially known as a "sandstone university" and is ranked among the top universities in Australia and the top one per cent in the world. The 114-hectare St Lucia Campus features gardens, public walkways, bike tracks and three large lakes. This creates a beautiful environment for visitors and attracts dozens of bird species and native wildlife such as possums and brush turkeys. The university also plays host to a number of museums, including The James and Mary Emelia Mayne Centre Art Museum. Today, with more than 3,000 artworks, the University's Art Collection is Queensland's second largest public art collection.

Yeronga Memorial Park is a living reminder of the impact WWI had on a community. Of the 559 residents who enlisted from (then) Stephens Shire, 97 names appear on marble tablets in the centre of a domed pavilion, designed by returned serviceman Sergeant Henry Priest (9th Battalion) and fine-tuned by architect George Trotter. A similar number of trees were planted between 1917 and 1919. Each tree represented a local life lost. Today, the mature weeping figs of Honour Avenue, one of Australia's earliest such boulevards, create a cathedral-like avenue accessible to walkers and cyclists. A slight detour along a palm-lined footpath takes visitors to the stone memorial built in 1921. Memorial gates were erected that year too at either end of the avenue. The dedication on the southern inner pier of the Ipswich Road Gates honours the women workers of the Stephens Shire. Until WWI, Queensland had few public memorials. The outpouring of grief at the loss of 60,000 Australian lives, buried in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, changed townscapes across the country. Recent work has seen the inclusion of memorials to later conflicts and the replacement of lost plaques by the trees, bearing soldiers' names.

The Crosstown Eating House is a restaurant and drinks lounge housed in a 1920s two-storey brick building in the antique strip of Logan Road, Woolloongabba. The first floor houses a boisterous eating house that serves the best selection of shared starters and bistro style mains; our philosophy, simple food cooked well. The Uptown is a laid back drinks lounge situated on the second floor of The Crosstown. Best described as 'fifties suburbia meets sophisticated Australiana', they serve an award winning range of cocktails, wine and beer.
