Elderton Wines is a small, family owned and operated winery, situated in Nuriootpa - the heart of the Barossa Valley. The Elderton vineyard which was planted in 1894 by Samuel Elderton Tolley, was purchased by the Ashmead family in the late 1970's and started producing labelled bottled estate wine from the 1982 harvest. It was well after a decade of hard work and toil that the winery shot to prominence in the early 1990's, after winning the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy at the 1993 Melbourne Wine Show. There has been an amazing amount of further wine show success, including the World's Best Shiraz Trophy at the 2000 London International Wine and Spirits Competition. The vineyard is complimented by an environmentally sustainable production ethos. The winery, vineyards and general business operations are underscored by several 'green initiatives' to assist with minimising Elderton's environmental footprint. Greenock Creek Wines is situated at Seppeltsfield in the rolling hills between the hamlets of Greenock and Marananga, on the western edge of the Barossa Valley. The winery's first release was in 1988, when it sold a 1986 Shiraz and a 1988 Chardonnay from its tiny cellar door situated beneath the Waugh's 150 year old stone cottage. Since then the winery has planted, grafted or acquired more vines, and now specialises in premium red wine production. Only grapes grown on the property are used, making it truly an estate winery. The range of wines includes five Shiraz, two Cabernet Sauvignons and a Grenache, all processed at the winery on the Waugh's Roennfeldt Road property. The wines are released each year in early September and are sold through cellar door, mail order, a selected number of retail outlets in Australia and a small quantity via export. The winery is every day from 11am to 5 pm except for Tuesdays, and also offers a range of bed and breakfast accommodation suites nearby.

Seppeltsfield Road leads from Barossa Valley Way to the iconic Seppeltsfield Winery, founded by the Seppelt family in the early 1850s. The 10 kilometres of Seppeltsfield Road now boasts not only some of the Barossa's most famous wineries and vineyards, but also gourmet destinations such as Appellation restaurant and Maggie Beer's Farmshop. Often identified by its distinctive palm trees (and affectionately named Avenue of Hope and Dreams), Seppeltsfield Road is located in the western Barossa, only 60 minutes from the Adelaide central business district via a two lane highway. No trip to the Barossa Valley is complete without visiting, staying or dining in our historic and hospitable precinct. It's not just about buildings and vineyards. Casa Carboni is an Italian Cooking School and Enoteca (wine and food shop) in the beautiful town of Angaston in South Australia's Barossa Valley. Established by Fiona and Matteo Carboni in 2012 who moved to the Barossa from Parma in the north of Italy in late 2011. Matteo offers two hands on cooking classes per week, to view the calendar click on the website; he also offers private classes and cooking demonstrations. The focus of the classes is the incredible farm gate produce that convinced Matteo to migrate to the Barossa, and regional Italian cuisine, with recipes that are easy to replicate at home for friends and family. At the completion of the class you are seated in the Enoteca to dine on the wonderful dishes you have just prepared with a glass of wine and Illy coffee. The Enoteca offers: Illy coffee, house made pastries and nougat. Platters and European wines by the glass. Handmade wine glasses from Rogaska. An ever changing selection of fine European wines from small producers. Artisan made imported food, knives and bags. Sunday lunches using local produce, menu changes weekly. Private lunches and dinners.

Irvine Wines have been heralded around the world as master Merlot makers. Expressing Eden Valley regionalism the wines are carefully crafted by father and daughter team Jim and Joanne Irvine. Grand Merlot is the flagship wine while the other wines in the Irvine Wines' portfolio are Merlot blends, a delightful Sparkling Merlot and alternative varieties such as Zinfandel, Pinot Gris and Savagnin.

Gully Gardens is a delightful farm shop with delicious Angaston grown dried fruit, beautiful scenery and good old fashioned service, and is a must see on a visit to the Barossa. Dried fruits include apricots, peaches, pears, prunes, nectarines and apples. A large range of homemade tasty confectionery and jams are made from the fruits, goodie baskets and gift lines. To complement the range, other Australian products are available including nuts, figs and vine fruits.

The 'House of Olives' retail outlet in Truro (Barossa Valley) offers a wide selection of South Australian olive oils, ranging from mild to robust. They include several oils from medal winners in the South Australian Olive Oil Competition, organic oils and oils infused with lemon, garlic, chilli, basil, citrus, lime and lemon myrtle. All can be tasted before purchase to ensure satisfaction. The House of Olives also stocks olives, spreads, mustards, dips and dukkah. Body products include olive oil based hand cream, shampoo, conditioner, body butter, moisturisers, soap, lip balm and insect repellent. The perfect gift can be found amongst the oil cans, dishes, olive spoons, forks and pitters. There is a stock of unique range of olive wood religious artefacts imported from the Holy land - rosaries, nativity scenes, candlesticks, Christmas tree decorations and camels.

The Sorby Adams Wineroom and Pantry is the latest addition to a long and proud history of food and wine in the Barossa. Located in the picturesque town of Angaston, the Wineroom and Pantry offers both visitors to the Barossa and locals alike, a wine and food experience unmatched in the region. The Barossa Valley Cheese Company is a multi-award winning manufacturer of artisan cheeses. After opening its doors in 2003 in the idyllic town of Angaston, Barossa Valley Cheese Company rapidly claimed its place in the region's celebrated wine and food culture. The range now includes 25 different styles of cheese and includes cheeses made from cow and goat milk. Company founder and head cheese-maker Victoria McClurg and her team are always seeking innovative ideas and refining traditional methods in cheese-making.

Set among the rolling hills on the banks of Greenock Creek at Seppeltsfield, Hentley Farm is a boutique, single estate vineyard that produces distinctive wines reflective of the exceptional site. Hentley Farm specialise in producing premium quality single-estate and single-block wines solely from the vines grown on their Seppeltsfield property - an old 150 acre vineyard and mixed farming property on the banks of Greenock Creek which Hentley Farm's founders Keith and Alison Hentschke acquired in the 1990s.

Rocland Estate is a boutique family owned winery located at Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley. One of the smaller wine producers in the Barossa Valley, Rocland Estate prides itself on producing good quality, uniquely labelled wines. In the James Halliday 2012 Wine Companion, Rocland Estate was the only South Australian winery to be awarded a Top 10 placing in 'The best of the best' Dark Horse Wineries of 2012. Our cellar door is open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and Saturday 11am to 4pm.

Every Saturday morning from 7.30am to 11.30am, you can taste and take home the best the Barossa has to offer. Over 50 stallholders provide a cornucopia of the freshest vegetables, meats, breads and cheeses. Delicious oils, preserves and local specialities give you everything you need for the week ahead. The growers at the Barossa Farmers Market often pick their lettuce and tomatoes and other produce just the night before market, sometimes even that very morning. Many of them grow organically. So what you take home is as fresh, seasonal and full of flavour as any produce, anywhere. What's better than bacon and eggs on Saturday morning? Having someone else cook it for you! We mean real eggs, and real bacon, served on a toasty fresh roll, with amazing sauces and chutneys to top it off. So grab a latté, pull up a bale, and forget about the dishes!

The Barossa Valley Golf Club is a 6026 metre par 72 course with an ACR rating of 70.8 and the tees are generous and well made. The fairways seem generous but the rough can be punishing and some well-placed bunkers guard the fairways and greens. Players have use of the practice tee, fairway, large putting green, practice bunker and chipping green. Because of its delightful bush country setting, this spacious golf course can give a feeling of truly 'being away from it all'. Just to walk the course is a delight with a chance to see much of the local bird and animal life. The course is a one-hour drive north of Adelaide, and is in close proximity to a variety of accommodations and many famous wineries. The resident Professional has a well-stocked shop full of the latest equipment. Golf sets and carts are available for hire.

A visit to Maggie Beer's Farm Shop is an absolute must whilst in the Barossa Valley. Maggie Beer - cook, writer and founder of 'Maggie Beer Products', offers tastings and sales of her full product range including limited edition seasonal produce. Customers can browse amongst her personally selected regional specialty goods, purchase one of her signed books or simply sit back and take in the view. Maggie Beer's Farm Shop is a food haven where you can enjoy all day 'picnic fare' whether inside or out, an espresso coffee or a glass of Pheasant Farm or Beer Brothers wine. As vignerons of the Barossa for more than 25 years, Maggie and her husband Colin offer a full range of wines exclusive to the cellar door. Verjuice cooking demonstrations take place at 2pm everyday using Maggie's wonderful products for take home ideas. Group bookings and tastings are by arrangement only.

Carmella's Curries are homemade in the Barossa by Carmella. Available at the famous Barossa Farmers Markets each Saturday you can choose from Carmella's southern Indian style Kasoundi Curry Paste, Malaysian style Curry Powder, Barossa style Chutney or Fiesty Barossa Sauce. You will love how versatile the range is- the concentrated curry paste is packed with loads of fresh ginger, garlic, spices and flavour. It makes a fabulous marinade and is absolutely spectacular with seafood. You can tone it down by mixing it with yoghurt, sweet chilli, or sweet soy sauce or all three. Rub it over a whole roast chicken or leg of lamb or roast beef. Add to soups, stews and casseroles to add flavour and heat or mix into stir fries for extra flavour and spice. You can even make a dip with cream cheese. Add one of Carmella's products to your pattie mix, spaghetti bolognaise, or as a flavour base for pizzas. Carmella's Curries add amazing flavour to vegetarian dishes. Try it with eggs, toasted sandwiches or use as a relish. You control the heat by how much you use!

Seppeltsfield Wines began in 1851 when Joseph Seppelt, fleeing turmoil in his native Silesia, purchased a beautiful property in the Barossa Valley, and named it after himself - Seppeltsfield. He decided to plant vines. Thus was born the village you see today. These bluestone cellars now carefully mature the 100 year old Para Port. Over the years many activities and industries found a sympathetic home at Seppeltsfield. Seppeltsfield Wines' vision is to see many of these (and more) revived. Today, the Cellar Door is open for tasting and guided tours including: Daily Heritage Tour - 45 minutes including tasting, daily at 11.30am and 3.30pm. The Legend of Seppeltsfield Tour - Discover and enjoy the ultimate foresight of Benno Seppelt, two hours (including tasting) on Saturday and Sunday at 10.30am (additional times available by request). Bookings required, 24 hours prior notice, minimum of two people. Charges apply for tours - please enquire at the time of making a booking. A small fee applies for wine tastings which is refundable with purchase.

Craneford Wines is a producer of quality wines reflecting the essence of the Barossa Valley. The philosophy at Craneford Wines is to produce premium quality wine made from varieties which, in particular, excel in the Barossa. Craneford continues to seek out vineyards and varieties which produce fruit displaying excellent regional characteristics and depth of colour, whilst constantly and foremost focusing on quality and not quantity of fruit, in order to preserve the integrity of its wines. All of our wines are made and bottled on site at Truro and our Cellar Door is open for tastings and sales Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm. Weekends by appointment. Angaston Cottage Industries was started in 1972 by a group of local women keen to use surplus local produce and show off their creative talent. Today the shop stocks a range of homemade goods, homegrown produce and crafts from over 300 contributors. We have a large selection of homemade jam, pickles, sauces, biscuits and cakes. We have anything from rose petal jam to Shiraz grape sauce. hand knitted jumpers, socks, gloves and caps are always popular, as our children's toys and our fairy section. The stock is always changing and new contributors are always welcome.

Gibson Wines is a small family owned winery nestled at the high northern end of the Barossa Valley in South Australia. A specialist producer of limited quantities of premium table wines, it is fast garnering a reputation as a reliable producer of richly flavoured and complex wine. Rob, Anne and family produce a mere 5000 cases of wine. Fruit is sourced from predominately estate grown fruit with small selections coming from contracted grower fruit for added diversity come blending time. On 'Sunday Fundays' Gibson Wines have food, wine and a live band playing at their cellar door. Kick back and relax. There's a marquee come rain, hail or shine. Entry is free. Hutton Vale, in the Barossa was settled in 1843. Today it is a mixed farm and home for Jan and John Angas. Six generations of history are evident in the stone buildings, still in use today. The Farm Follies building, originally built for housing prized stud stock, now provides a warm and relaxed setting for food gardens and cellar door for wine produced from the old vine vineyard on the property. Growing delicious vegetables, full of flavours that used when cooking for guests and family living on the property, has always been part of farm life. Sheep graze freely on the surrounding rolling hills with the occasional paddock growing seasonal cereal crops and interspersed with stands of fruit trees, relics in the rich dirt from a thriving fruit industry 70 years ago. Hutton Vale has hosted visitors from all over the world, from a simple artisan lunch to larger events for media and photographers to be consumed.

Set in the northern pocket of the beautiful Barossa Valley, one hour from Adelaide, lies The Willows Vineyard, a 200-acre property meandering alongside the North Para River; settled by the Scholz family in 1845 and home to the Willows hospital until 1960.

Hartz Barn Wines is a family operated vineyard and wine enterprise based in the village of Moculta, Eden Valley, in the Barossa wine region of South Australia. The home of Hartz Barn Wines has supported the families of the district as a General Store (known as Hentschke General Store) since 1885 offering an extensive range of goods and services.

Our Hartz Barn Wines label depicts the Moculta General Store and the activities that took place are recorded with the varieties of our wines.

Located in the heart of the Barossa Valley, are the Penfolds Barossa Valley Winery and Cellar Door. Built to expand the business home base beyond Magill this site became the focal point of Penfolds winemaking.

Today the cellar door offers a comprehensive selection of wines for tasting.

Public tastings are available as well as a range of personalised tastings including the opportunity to taste our world-renowned Grange together with a range of Penfolds premium wines.

Try your hand at winemaking with the Make Your Own Blend Tour: Guests are invited to the Winemakers' Laboratory to try blending their own wine from Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre, like Penfolds' own Bin 138. The wine is then presented to take home in an individual bottle. Operates daily at 10.30am. Bookings are essential and 24 hours notice required, AUD65.00 per person.
