Manning Valley Historical Society Museum and Archives is located in an historic building once used as a grocery and produce store, circa 1880. The museum overlooks Wingham Town Square (or Central Park) that is surrounded on four sides by heritage or historic buildings. Visitors to the museum are instantly captivated by the step back in time, demonstrating the differing lifestyles pioneers had and their tools/aids. On display are pioneer family portraits, old cedar furniture, lamp collections, scales, bottles, folk craft, clothing, fabrics, ironmongery, crockery, glassware, patent medicines and memorabilia related to our proud sporting achievements. At the rear of the Museum is Wingham's 19th Century police cell which housed Jimmy Governor (Blacksmith) following his capture and prior to his transportation to Sydney for trial and execution. Archive resources are also available. Researchers are in attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm.

The 131st Wingham Annual Show will be three days full of competitions and rides with all the fun of a true agricultural show. Wood chopping, chainsaw competitions, a cattle section and campdrafting. The Friday night Rodeo will have the crowd on their feet with all the excitement happening in the rodeo ring. Once you’re there, catch your breath while taking a seat on the quartzite rock outcrop, and soaking in the 360-degree panoramic views some 1000m above sea level. From the viewing platform on top of the mountain, you can see the catchment area of Caparra Creek to the southeast and the extensive forested hinterland toward Nowendoc in the west. Just below the viewing platform lies an outcrop of exposed rocks, which is known as ‘Head and Shoulders Cliff’. You may even spot a wedge-tailed eagle soaring in the sky above you....

From the picnic area, follow Potoroo Falls walk approximately one kilometre upstream along Little Run Creek to the tranquil, scenic waterfall and swimming hole.
