Specialist in Asian Fine Arts and Antiques

East and West Art Gallery was established in 1973 at High Street, Armadale before moving to High Street, East Kew in 1989. The primary focus has been a commitment to exhibit the best in Asian Art to complement its Asian antiques from 3000 BCE to 19th Century. The gallery has developed into one of the major representatives of prominent Asian artists worldwide.

Director and founder Marjorie Ho is a certified valuer to all the State and regional Galleries of Australia. She has discovered and broken grounds in Australia with South-East Asian ceramics and textiles, as well as many famous Asian Artists for the public tio view and collect.

The range of work is astounding: Contemporary and Antique Paintings, Woodblock Prints,
Sculptures, Weavings and Ceramics. Each year five solo or mixed exhibitions are held. Between these, collections of representative artist’s works are available.

The gallery also exhibits antiques from all over East Asia and China. Discovering antique ceramics in small countries previously seldom shown in Australia and subsequently collected by many of the major State and Regional Galleries for their collections. These pieces are on permanent display downstairs.

A space in which artists can invite people to wonder The “Chapel on Station Gallery”, located in central St Box Hill, is a gallery established by the Box Hill Baptist Church. The gallery has sprung from a desire by the church community to encourage emerging artists and community groups interested in exploring art that elevates the soul. It is based on a conviction that art expresses a deep spiritual need that when shared draws others to ‘wonder’. The Gallery opened in May 2005, and is located in the Chapel area of the Church, on the corner of Station St and Ellingworth Pde, Box Hill, in the heart of the restaurant precinct, opposite significant shopping centres, and in easy access of the region’s public transport train and bus depot.

Bird's Gallery was established in 2001, with a vision to show creativity in fine arts in variety of forms. Being professional artists, our initial idea was to show and promote our own artworks.With time our gallery developed in to a bigger creative centre, where we introduce new exhibitions, represent local and international artists & stock their works, give art consultations to our customers and take art commissions for a specific sites or private spaces. It is a creative institution that seeks to make a significant contribution to contemporary critical discourse; add to the knowledge of Australian artists, movements and events; work in cross-discipline paradigms; and be actively engaged in important State, National and International collaborative projects.

Our exhibition, education and public programs aim to explore social, cultural and political themes creating a vital centre of research, teaching, interpretation and dialogue. Through these programs we seek to engage, educate, inspire and encourage.

Welcome to the arts and culture page. Banyule has a rich and diverse cultural landscape and a proud artistic heritage. Banyule City Council run numerous projects and programs to encourage cultural expression and experiences including festivals and events, community cultural development projects, artists seminars, exhibitions, grants programs and artists networks. Council is also responsible for the management of the Banyule Art Collection.

The ELCG is located within the foyer of the Eltham Library. The walls are mud brick. A hanging and lighting system is part of the ELCG and hanging rods and plinths are available for exhibitors.

The ELCG aims to provide the general public the opportunity to view and engage with work by local artists in all stages of artistic career. It provides artists with the opportunity of a gallery exhibition and through mentorship and guidance it fosters professional development for emerging and amateur artists. The ELCG program also recognises and values the experience of mid career artists who choose to exhibit in this venue.

New North Gallery and printing consists of two gallery spaces and two 'lab spaces'. The hanging spaces are fitted with a fully adjustable and configurable hanging system, along with the very best in lighting. Please consult for gallery hanging fees.

The Lab area is fitted with daylight lighting to optimise printing and design layout of your fine art images. Naturally we have the latest in fully color calibrated computer technology allowing us to accurately color proof your images.

Built in 1899, Bundoora Homestead is a magnificent Queen Anne style Federation mansion operating as a historic house, art gallery and cafe, registered by Heritage Victoria and certified by the National Trust.

Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is the public art gallery of the City of Darebin, it hosts a changing programme of contemporary art and craft exhibitions, public lectures and is home to the biennial Darebin Art Show.

The licensed cafe, set in the elegant drawing room of Bundoora Homestead, offers a seasonal menu of light lunches and afternoon teas, while the Gallery stocks a selected range of Bundoora Homestead and exhibition merchandise.

Manningham Gallery is the City of Manningham's major contemporary art venue. Its main focus is the contemporary exhibition program which encompasses a broad range of visual arts practices including painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, drawing, photography, installation and multi-media artworks.

The Gallery is located at the front of the Council Offices in Doncaster (12km or 20 minutes from Melbourne City via the Eastern Freeway). There is ample car parking for Gallery visitors and building signage marks the location of the Gallery. The Gallery entrance is prominent upon entering the building and there is wheelchair access.

Manningham Gallery was established as a public gallery in 1985 in the municipal offices by the Doncaster and Templestowe Arts Association, with strong support from the City of Doncaster and Templestowe. Management of the Gallery was handed over to Manningham City Council in 1997, and in 2001 was relocated to a purpose-built space in the new Function Centre at the Manningham City Council Offices.

Antonio Zeccola's involvement in film dates back to the 1960's where his first foray into the motion picture industry was (like his father's before him) a rented town hall screening films to small but enthusiastic audiences.

His obvious passion and commitment translated into success very quickly and by the mid to late 1970's Antonio operated a number of suburban cinemas including The Metropolitan in Brunswick, The Roma in Bourke Street and The Palace in Bourke Street from which the group derived its current corporate identity as Palace.

The group continued to flourish throughout the 1980's and early 1990's with the addition of a number of successful locations such as the Dendy Brighton, The Balwyn Cinema and The Academy Cinema in Paddington, NSW. During this time Palace Home Entertainment was created to cater for the growing demand for home videos.

Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre is a $10,250,000 modern multipurpose performing arts centre comprising a proscenium arch theatre, foyer, exhibition space and five multipurpose function rooms providing a combined capacity of 1,500.

Since opening in August 1994 the Centre has established a strong following for community based performing arts, functions and events together with some commercial activity in the form of meetings, conferences and trade expos. DAEC is a significant cultural and community asset that is attended by over 116,000 people each year.
 

The impressive Amphitheatre, set in the midst of Fairfield Park, is an impressive venue for performances and ceremonies.

The Amphitheatre can accommodate up to 350 people (seated). It is a powered facility, with three-phase power and regular power sockets.

The Theatre Husk is a welcome addition to the Melbourne Theatre scene.

Originally a factory The Theatre Husk is now a modern recently refurbished warehouse with large spaces both upstairs and downstairs.

The downstairs space is now a fully functional theatre with 12 channel dimmer board, ample lighting set up, dressing rooms and a variety of staging possibilities.

Arts Nunawading Inc. is a non-profit organization. Established in 1964 by local art groups, it has grown to a total of 15 member groups undertaking a wide range of artistic endeavours.

Arts Nunawading Inc's objective is to aid in the understanding, dissemination, participation and promotion of the Arts throughout the City of Whitehorse.

Phoenix Theatre Company Inc. is a non-professional musical theatre company based in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. We perform two or three shows a year - in May, September and November. Rehearsals are held in Leeds Street, Doncaster East.
