Turn down Coldstream Street and you’ll find yourself in what feels like a movie set, so idyllic is Ulmarra’s riverside charm. You might think you can get away with a quick ten-minute browse in the variety of second-hand stores that lie in Ulmarra, but this is rarely the case. Hours can evaporate browsing the bookshop alone. Ulmarra overlooks a tranquil stretch of the Clarence, and with its shady trees, water dragons running around and quiet ambience, it’s quite possibly what heaven might be like.
