Kirra Reef in the Pacific Ocean at the southern end of the Gold Coast consists of scattered rocky outcrops that are covered in kelp fronds. Drift from rock to rock and investigate every nook and cranny, with morays hiding in the most unexpected places. The beauty of this site is in watching the smaller species. Porcupine fish abound here and wobbegongs and macro life inhabit the reef.

Lying close to shore off Fingal Head in the Pacific Ocean, Cook Island is an accessible and appealing dive site on the Gold Coast. Hard and soft corals cover the bottom in some areas; in others boulders form walls and caves descending to the sandy sea floor. You'll find an interesting mix of reef and pelagic fish; pufferfish, gropers, surgeonfish, anemonefish, leatherjackets, parrotfish, trevally, bullseyes and sweetlips. Macro-photographers will find plenty of subjects. Stingrays, turtles, wobbegongs and blind sharks, Leopard sharks abound in summer.

Nine Mile Reef off Tweed Heads on the Gold Coast is known as a "sharky" spot by the locals. Year-round residents include wobbegongs, blind sharks, bronze whalers with leopard sharks in summer; grey nurse sharks in winter; and occasional hammerheads and whale sharks. Reef fish are ever-present, and pelagic fish sometimes circle in large numbers. Turtles, stingrays, eagle-rays are regulars as well as the occasional manta-ray. The rocky reef here drops from 10-30 metres and is covered with numerous corals.

Pat Fagan Park is a beautiful beachside park that has views all the way to Surfers Paradise. It features a great drive up car park and walkway and is also a very popular wedding ceremony location with green leafy tree surrounds. The beautiful Coolangatta beach is just steps away for great photo opportunities.

Surf World Gold Coast is Queensland's only surfing museum. The exhibition includes an extensive collection of surf boards highlighting the evolution of design and technology from the early 1930s to today. There's also amazing photography depicting early surf scenes, art works including surf movie posters and album covers, cinematography and other memorabilia. Learn about the history of Queensland surfing and beach culture and check out contemporary art works and the gallery of photos showcasing today's surfing champions.

The Coolangatta Art and Craft Markets offer a great family day out on the second Sunday of every month and the fourth Sunday in 5 Sunday months, all year round. With over 150 stalls of locally made crafts, fresh produce, preserves, cookies and cakes, delicious Street food, live music, there is something for everyone. Come down and spend a leisurely Sunday strolling around Queen Elizabeth Park enjoying all of the sights that this beautiful location offers, right on the beach front in Coolangatta. Whether you are after handmade fashion, jewellery, home wares, skincare, toys, fresh produce or just something unique you won't find in the shops, there's sure to be a bargain for you. Adventure Parc is located in the beautiful grounds of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast. Designed for family fun and fitness, it's challenging for all ages and will appeal to the daredevil in everyone. Adventure Parc takes elements of SAS commando training delivered as safe, fun and exciting treetops ropes course for children and adults. 80 challenges over 5 courses.  Adventure Parc courses are like no other - surrounded by native wildlife, combined with world-class wildlife displays and shows located just a short walk from one of Australia's best beaches. combining rope and wire challenges, 12 flying foxes, suspended bridges, and much much more - it's great fun and it's safe. All safety equipment (harness, gloves and overall) is supplied and participants are fully instructed on its usage before beginning the course. Their team of supervisors is available for your safety. Just bring closed in shoes your sense of adventure! To complete all the courses once you will need approximately two hours. Your entrance fee includes all of your equipment hire and access to the courses for the entire duration of your visit.
