Huge granite boulders tower above open forests in the spectacular and popular Girraween National Park outside Stanthorpe. Camp at either Castle Rock and Bald Rock Creek camping areas or picnic in the shady Bald Rock Creek day-use area. Explore the park on almost 30 kilometres of walking tracks. Take the 280 metre Wyberba Walk alongside Bald Rock Creek; visit Granite Arch; climb The Pyramid for great views over the park; or spend the day walking to granite monoliths or to waterholes along the creek. Learn from displays in the visitor information centre and at the day-use area. Wildflowers in spring are a sign to behold! Gaze at changing reflections in the rock pools or go birdwatching for blue wrens, rare turquoise parrots and other forest birds. Spy bearded dragons and jacky lizards on the granite rocks, soaking up the sun. Go spotlighting at night to see ringtail possums high in the eucalypt trees. There is much to do in Girraween, and if you are lucky, you may see a wombat or hear superb lyrebirds imitating the calls of other birds.

The cellar door is open weekends 10am to 4pm and also by appointment. You can experience their full flavoured crisp white wines, a hugely popular Pink Moscato and their signature deep inky-purple red wines - you are sure to find something to excite your palate.

The decision to purchase their property was made whilst sitting on top of one of the Pyramids in the National Park overlooking the beautiful valley and their property below. Experience this, hands on production process of picking, crushing and pressing during the vintage months from March to May. Take a tour anytime of the year and talk with the winemaker about the wine making process or view the winery from the viewing area in the cellar door. They have been rated 5 stars by James Halliday for the last three years. 58 different wines have been rated 4.5 stars or more for last 8 years. In his latest 2015 Wine Companion, James Halliday has rated 6 of their wines 5 stars with their flagship Reserve Shiraz scoring an amazing 96 points. This score is just one point behind Penfolds Grange. Their flagship red is their 5 star Reserve Shiraz which has won top gold medals at both Sydney and Melbourne Royal Wine Shows, and has been nominated for two trophies at 2011 Royal Melbourne for Best Single Vineyard Wine and Best Shiraz trophies. The Jimmy Watson winner beat them for the Best Rhone Style Shiraz trophy with the narrowest of margins. The wine was selected to be served to the Royal couple when they visited Brisbane in early 2014. Their flagship white is their 5 star Gewurztraminer which has been awarded Best Single White Variety Trophies at 2014 Royal Queensland and Melbourne Wine Shows.

Mount Norman Track

Begin the walk to Mount Norman, Girraween's National Park's longest walk, from the southern side of Pyramids Road opposite the Girraween information centre carpark. Continue past Castle Rock and trek to the rocky slabs below Mount Norman, where the gradient varies from gentle to moderate. See the Eye of the Needle on Mount Norman's northern face. The track ends at the base of the Mount Norman monolith. Warning: The final approach to the summit is steep and rock climbing experience is needed to reach the absolute top. Do not attempt to rock-climb alone. Alternatively, you can reach Mount Norman from the Mount Norman day use area, two kilometres south of Mount Norman. The picnic area is reached via an unsealed road from Wallangarra. Carry drinking water as none is available. The walk through graceful Wallangarra white gums on the southern face of Mount Norman is gently sloping, but has some steep sections. The track ends at the base of the Mount Norman monolith. The final approach to the summit is steep and rock climbing experience is needed to reach the absolute top. Do not attempt to rock climb alone. (Distance four kilometres return; 1.5 - 2 hours)....

The Pyramid Track

Climb to the summit of The Pyramid to see Balancing Rock and magnificent views over the Second Pyramid and Girraween National Park. From the Bald Rock Creek day-use area, cross the creek and weave steadily uphill through eucalypt forests, past rocky outcrops and wetlands to the base of this massive granite dome. A good level of fitness is required to make the climb up The Pyramid as the ascent of the exposed rock face is steep and may be tiring. Take your time to rest and enjoy the views. Warning: the summit has steep cliffs and potentially slippery surfaces. Keep to the track and supervise children closely. There is no walking track to the second Pyramid and considerable rock climbing experience is necessary to scale it....
