Melba's famous chocolate factory is housed in the historic Farmers Union cheese factory and visitors are able to view through the different production areas where a variety of chocolates and confectioneries are made. Melba's operated old heritage chocolate and confectionery machinery - this continues today. The factory shop in the Adelaide Hills has a huge range of sweets and chocolates. A family friendly environment where you can choose from hundreds of difference products, as well as enjoying quality coffee and deserts from our Coffee shop.

Woodside Cheese Wrights have produced a range of high quality and award-winning cheeses at their Adelaide Hills facility since 1994. Their sophisticated range of cow and goat milk cheeses are made by directly sourcing milk from small local dairies, providing them with excellent control of milk quality. Woodside Cheese Wrights are true to the word artisan, crafting all of their cheeses by hand. Some of their cheeses are seasonal and are only made when the milk is perfect for each cheese style. Visitors are welcome to visit the Cellar Door to try Woodside Cheese Wrights diverse range of cheeses, where they will also find a range of locally made arts and crafts and locally grown and made produce and food.

The Lobethal Archives and Historical Museum is a German Pioneer Museum with displays and exhibits telling the story of both the German and English history of South Australia. Items on display include colonial artefacts from everyday life of the time including examples of needlecrafts and woodwork and numerous pictures of local industries and agriculture. The original Lutheran Church with the elevated pulpit and the unique blue and white wood work is part of the historic church precinct which includes the Lutheran School, the new Church Complex and remnants of the Old Lutheran Cemetery. Donations are collected at the door.
The Bird in Hand winery threw open the doors of its tasting room to the public in 2005 to create and grow an honest, cellar door experience. Visit our cellar door to experience the Bird in Hand wine range as well as our world class olive oil and range of luxury goods. Our luxury range includes Italian leather handbags, silk scarves, local handspun Merino scarves and beanies as well as a stunning jewellery collection handcrafted by local jeweller Shane Hinton. There may also be an art exhibition in the barrel room. Enjoy a relaxed long lunch with friends and family in our restaurant, or take a seat on our terrace and savour one of our local cheese platters. Our vineyard, based in the beautiful Lenswood region is unique with French inspired close planted vines and terracing across steep slopes, where they grow Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The old Onkaparinga Woollen Mills, in Lobethal, now provides a home for the combined winery and cellar door. At the cellar door you can see right into the winery, and meet the winemaker, as well as taste the range in the comfort of a sophisticated setting, with a blazing wood fire in winter. During the summer months why not sit outside with a glass of wine and cheese platter or have a coffee? Tilbrook Estate has on offer wonderful cool climate, elegant but flavoursome, award winning Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot, Gris, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Shiraz, Cabernet, and very delightful Pinot Gris Dessert Wine.
Find handwoven textiles and tapestries produced on eight large looms are found at The Oakbank Weaver in the old cellars of Pike's historic Brewery. The weavers, Peter Stapleton and Mary Cassini, create their own patterns, which are fascinating to see emerging on the looms. The finished tapestries and textiles ranging from throw rugs to suit fabrics, upholstery, stoles and scarves can be purchased in the gallery located under the 1889 stone brew tower. Commissions are welcomed. The building is listed as a fine industrial example of Victorian architecture on the State Heritage Register. Entry is free for individuals. Groups are welcomed by prior arrangement.

The Lobethal Bierhaus is a micro brewery, cellar door and restaurant proudly located in Lobethal's Old Onkaparinga Woollen Mills. All of the brewery's equipment is on display together with detailed descriptions of how its beer is made and the considerable history of brewing in Lobethal, which dates back to 1851. The restaurant serves a full range of excellent dishes designed around local produce in a casual child friendly environment. In addition to its own award winning handcrafted beers (available on both draught and in bottle to take home), a selection of locally made wines, tea, coffee and soft drinks are also available.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy this beautifully presented nine-hole golf course located just off the main Onkaparinga Road at Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills. Our club has a membership of close to 270 and we provide a program of organised competitions and social functions. Casual players can hire all the necessary equipment if required. The clubhouse has bar facilities and offers group catering. The course is ideal for the recreational golfer: it is a comfortable 30 minute drive from Adelaide, is easily traversed, has no bunkers and is irrigated throughout the summer. There are nine holes and the men's par is 68, with a course length of 5315 metres; for women, the par is 72 and the course length, 5176 metres. Please note a dress code applies.
Bike About was first established in 1996 in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, with the focus on outdoor education, physical education and school camps providing an educational, fun and health activity for our students. We specialise in mountain biking, mountain bike camps, cycling touring, bike hire and education. We offer a variety of mountain bike trips to suit a range of abilities and types of groups. Some include catering and accommodation, and some are simple day trips.

There are more than 40 sites for you to explore, all with numbered plaques, which are detailed in a brochure available from local businesses and the Adelaide Hills Council, Woodside. You can enjoy the walk at any time, which may take up to an hour to complete. Founded in 1840 by James Johnston of Campbelltown, Scotland, Oakbank was named after an area near Glasgow. James and his brother established their Oakbank Brewery in 1843. The original building is on the bank of the Onkaparinga River and you can buy wines and soft drinks there. See the Oakbank Racecourse, established in 1874 where thousands of people still come each year for the Easter Racing Carnival and Pike's historic Brewery founded by Henry Pike in 1886, see the heritage-listed brew tower and workshops now home to the Oakbank Weaver.
Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard is 20 kilometres due east of Adelaide city as the crow flies. Take a 30 minute drive from Adelaide through the picturesque Adelaide Hills and enjoy delightful views over a northerly facing panorama of rolling vines, apples and cherry orchards disappearing into Eucalyptus bushland, while you taste our Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc wines.
Vineyard establishment commenced in 1992 and is owned, developed and operated by Alan Herath and Jan Reed. The small Vineyard is hand nurtured, picked and pruned with wine complexity and style starting in the vineyard based on a wide variety of selected grape types, soils and slopes.
Disabled car parking is available three metres from the cellar door and there are no steps from the car park to cellar door. Closed June and July, except by appointment.
