The walk takes in two headlands - Black Head and Red Head - and is joined by Black Head Beach. Information about the walk is available from the Visitors Centre in Taree or the Hallidays Point Library. Accommodation close to Red Head Beach consists of a holiday park which has a large number of self-contained ocean and surf villas, powered and unpowered camping sites. There are also self-contained apartments available for rent. Car parking is available adjacent to the beach at the end of Red Head Road.
