Merlot, Semillon, Verdelho and Colombard grow in the conglomerate soil of Marlee to produce high standard wines. They are located on Tourist Drive Eight, 15 minutes drive from Wingham, or 45 minutes from Forster. Turn left onto Pinnacle Place, 100 metres north of St Marks historic Church Marlee. Bent on Food Cookery School is all about the enjoyment of cooking and learning new skills, tips and chefs' secrets. It is located just three and a half hours north of Sydney in the historical town of Wingham on the NSW Mid North Coast. Classes are held in a modern purpose built, air-conditioned school and involve both demonstration and hands-on activities. Class sizes are small and participants usually work in small groups. Why not organise your friends and join a class together ? Bent on Food Cookery School offers a wide variety of classes to suit everyone with weekday, evening and weekend classes. Manning Valley Historical Society Museum and Archives is located in an historic building once used as a grocery and produce store, circa 1880. The museum overlooks Wingham Town Square (or Central Park) that is surrounded on four sides by heritage or historic buildings. Visitors to the museum are instantly captivated by the step back in time, demonstrating the differing lifestyles pioneers had and their tools/aids. On display are pioneer family portraits, old cedar furniture, lamp collections, scales, bottles, folk craft, clothing, fabrics, ironmongery, crockery, glassware, patent medicines and memorabilia related to our proud sporting achievements. At the rear of the Museum is Wingham's 19th Century police cell which housed Jimmy Governor (Blacksmith) following his capture and prior to his transportation to Sydney for trial and execution. Archive resources are also available. Researchers are in attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm.

Not a Cafe also has a music room that has been designed to give local musicians somewhere to both sell their music and perform on a regular basis. Wingham Annual Show

The 131st Wingham Annual Show will be three days full of competitions and rides with all the fun of a true agricultural show. Wood chopping, chainsaw competitions, a cattle section and campdrafting. Popular exhibits will be on show in the Exhibition Hall and also, the popular poultry sections, for the children to enjoy. The Friday night Rodeo will have the crowd on their feet with all the excitement happening in the rodeo ring. Saturday will be the People's Family Fun Day from 8am right through until the fireworks at 7.30pm. A crowd favourite, the Demo Derby will be on Saturday afternoon followed by the fireworks spectacular. The main ring will come to life with families filling all vantage points for a view of the action once again. There is something for everyone to enjoy at the Wingham Show in March 2016. ...

Wingham offers visitors a step back in time. Its rich heritage is evident in the many splendid National Trust listed Federation buildings, which surround the town common modelled on the English square. Take a self-guided Heritage Walk around Wingham. The walk highlights a number of built and natural items of significance to the history of the town. The walk is approximately five kilometres and brochures are available from the Manning Valley Historical Society Museum at Wingham. The Museum is located in the town centre and is open seven days. Also found at Wingham is Wingham Brush Nature Reserve, part of the last 10 hectares of sub-tropical flood plain rainforest in New South Wales. Giant Moreton Bay figs dominate the Brush along with the grey-headed flying foxes; the Brush is a roosting and maternity site for the flying foxes. There are also over 100 species of birds and many native marsupials....

Also known as ‘The Brush’, this reserve preserves one of only a few remnants of this rare rainforest type in Australia, and is a significant roosting and maternity site for the vulnerable grey-headed flying fox. Stand under the canopy and you’ll see hundreds of flying foxes hanging above you. Wander along the wheelchair-accessible boardwalk and follow easy walking tracks to discover the vibrant life under the canopy. There are great opportunities for photography and birdwatching, and lovely places to picnic by the river nearby.
