Murramarang National Park protects over 11,977 hectares of coastal land between Kiola and Batemans Bay on the state's South Coast. Murramarang offers a wide range of activities including swimming, surfing, fishing, picnicking, bushwalking, photography and nature study. The Corn Trail follows the route used by the pack horse teams of early settlers in the 1830s as they traded produce, mainly corn grown in the fertile valley, with their neighbours on the southern tablelands. The trail crosses high mountain ridges and deep rainforest valleys. Some parts of the track are very steep and most people follow the trail downhill. Car parks at either end enable car shuffling. Access from the top: From Batemans Bay, follow the Kings Highway for 40 kilometres and turn left into River Forest Road to the Dasyurus Picnic Area. Access from the bottom: From Batemans Bay, follow the Kings Highway for 29.5 kilometres and turn left into Misty Mountain Road, then right onto No Name Road (last section is 4WD only) Length: 15 kilometres one way. Time: Five to six hours downhill. Grade: Moderate to difficult.

The Old Courthouse Museum is operated by volunteer members of the Clyde River and Batemans Bay Historical Society, and is the storehouse of the community's history. Collection themes at the Museum include costume, education, healthcare, domestic life, forestry and timber tales, as well as crime and punishment in the district. The Old Courthouse Museum is housed in the former Batemans Bay Courthouse and Police Residence building. The Old Courthouse, Police Station and Residence - where the Museum is today, was built on the corner of Orient and Church Streets (now Beach Road), at a cost of £930 and was opened on 14 October 1905.

Park at Surfside beach where the trail begins. First paddle around the point to Cullendulla Creek, where you can explore this beautiful and significant spot in your kayak or on foot. Land kayaks here and take a short walk on the unique Cullendulla Nature Reserve boardwalk with interpretive signage about the noteworthy Aboriginal history. The upper end of the creek features the fascinating historic remains of a railway. From Cullendulla Creek Paddle to Square Head and around the spectacular Snapper Island, note that the island is a nature reserve and landings are not permitted. From here you can paddle back to Surfside beach or finish at one of the landing stops along the way.

Tucked in behind the historic town of Mogo, Mogo Bushwalk in the Mogo State Forest meanders through wet and dry eucalyptus forests. This walk provides a shady haven in summer and is suitable for all of the family. The forest features majestic spotted gums with an understorey of burrawang cycads. Swamp wallabies often dart through the bush and in autumn and early winter, male lyrebirds display their magnificent tail feathers. This walk cover a distance of of 1.6 kilometres and takes approximately 20 minutes return. It is rated as an easy grade with some steps. Access is from the eastern side of the Princes Highway at Mogo, via Tomakin Road then James Street.

This scenic ocean route follows the coastline from Batehaven to Mossy Point, visiting many of the stunning bays and beaches along the way. It is a challenging 20 kilometre sea paddle, but has options for shorter trips so is suitable for all skill levels. Beginning at Corrigans Beach, follow the picturesque headlands and sheltered bays of the coastline to Mosquito Bay where there is a landing option. The already impressive scenery becomes incredible during this next, more challenging, section of the journey to Pretty Point and Jimmies Island. At the lovely Guerilla Bay there is another sheltered landing point. The next challenging paddle is to Burrewarra Point. Burrewarra point features a spectacular lighthouse, high cliffs, secluded beaches, reefs and islets. From here, head west to explore the exquisite Barlings Island then onto Camel Rock. The last part of the journey is to the landing point on Tomaga River.

Cycling in Batemans Bay is a scenic, family friendly experience as the cycleway is mainly flat, hugging the bay. At the suggested starting point in Batehaven at Corrigans Beach, there are great facilities including picnic tables and barbecues and plenty of parking so that when you return you can take a dip in the calm beach waters and then enjoy a picnic lunch. If you're too puffed, then simply walk across the road to enjoy lunch in a cafe or restaurant. Simply follow the cycle way travelling into Batemans Bay, over the bridge north veering off into Wharf Road. Continue along the roadway until you reach the end of Myamba Parade where you can dismount and walk along the Cullendulla Boardwalk. This is a wonderful walk that explores the wetlands; an extremely important aspect of the Batemans Bay ecosystem. The return journey is approximately 18 kilometres of sightseeing and enjoyment!

Norma Holt, a versatile traditional artist, specialises in oils, pastels, watercolour and mixed media (charcoal, ink, pencil) drawings and paintings of landscapes, seascapes, beach scenes, forests, flower studies and still life. Norma studied in Adelaide with Gwen Barringer and the S.A. School of Arts, and in Canberra with Lindsay Churchland, Mary Black and John Coburn, before moving to her studio gallery at Long Beach in 1986. Norma is listed in Jean Campbell's "Australian Watercolour Painters", Max Germaine's "A Dictionary of Women Artists in Australia", and Thorpe's "Who's who of Australian Visual Artists". Norma's landscapes, seascapes and floral paintings and drawings, mainly in pastel and watercolour but with some large oils, can be viewed at her Long Beach gallery.

The first stop on the Batemans Bay Snorkelling Trail is 12 kilometres north of Batemans Bay at Maloneys Beach. As well as being a fantastic spot for snorkelling, Maloneys is ideal for family outings with a grassy reserve, toilets, boat ramp, electric barbecues and covered picnic area. The next destination is Sunshine Cove Beach, five kilometres south of Batemans Bay. This vibrantly coloured beach provides spectacular snorkelling. From rocky reefs to seaweed beds, there is plenty to see. While snorkelling, you are also likely to encounter endemic fish such as red morwong, luderick and bream as well as lobsters, gropers and abalone. Lastly, head eight kilometres south to the ancient Guerilla Bay. Snorkel through the beautiful blue waters and explore some of the oldest, most picturesque rocks on Eurobodalla's coastline. To finish the day enjoy a picnic or even take a walk to Burrewurra Point to see the WWII bunker.

This scenic ocean route follows the coastline from Batehaven to Mossy Point, visiting many of the stunning bays and beaches along the way. It is a challenging 20 kilometre sea paddle, but has options for shorter trips so is suitable for all skill levels. Beginning at Corrigans Beach, follow the picturesque headlands and sheltered bays of the coastline to Mosquito Bay where there is a landing option. The already impressive scenery becomes incredible during this next, more challenging, section of the journey to Pretty Point and Jimmies Island. At the lovely Guerilla Bay there is another sheltered landing point. The next challenging paddle is to Burrewarra Point. Burrewarra point features a spectacular lighthouse, high cliffs, secluded beaches, reefs and islets. From here, head west to explore the exquisite Barlings Island then onto Camel Rock. The last part of the journey is to the landing point on Tomaga River....
