Perhaps you might just want to kick back on the beach for a bit and watch the kids play around on some of our fun beach gear that is also available for hire.  A guaranteed kids favourite is  one of our  colourful Aqua Bikes & Paddle Boats or maybe a bit of a paddle around on one of our  single & double Kayaks.  For the more experienced kayakers circumnavigation of the island takes around 2 hours or for those that prefer a new challenge, you might want to try out one of our new Stand Up Paddle Boards.   Lots of fun for the whole family to try!

Since commencing operation 50 years ago with the first vehicle ferry, MV Myora, Stradbroke Ferries has grown to become the largest marine operator in Moreton Bay, with seven vehicle ferries and one water taxi. Today Stradbroke Ferries operates vehicle ferries and water taxi services to Straddie and vehicle ferry services to the Southern Bay Islands of Lamb, Karragarra, Macleay and Russell. Stradbroke Ferries are open for business 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with booking offices located at Cleveland and Redland Bay on the mainland, and Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island. The North Stradbroke Island terminal is located at Toondah Harbour at the end of Middle Street in Cleveland. The Redland Bay terminal for services to Russell, Lamb, Macleay and Karragarra Islands is located on Weinam Street. Rich in cultural significance, Teerk Roo Ra is the only intact example of a multiracial lazaret in Australia. It opened in 1907, housing leprosy patients for the next 52 years. Prior to the lazaret, the island served as a quarantine station (1874 to the 1890s) and home for 'inebriates' (1910–1916). Boating and fishing are popular activities around the island. Both Horseshoe Bay and Platypus Bay provide clean, calm waters for swimming. The shipwrecks in Platypus Bay host a variety of marine life, providing a popular place for snorkelling. Ensure you have a dive flag visible when snorkelling to warn boats of your presence; the area around the wrecks is also used for boat mooring. The Bayview Conservation Area in Redlands Coast is an award-winning outdoor recreation reserve. With almost 1000 hectares of open forest, Melaleuca wetlands and more, it offers the perfect setting for exhilarating outdoor adventures from mountain biking and horse riding to bush walking, trail running or more leisurely nature walks in an inspiring bushland setting.  Mountain biking: Visit the park to enjoy around 60 kilometres of dedicated mountain bike tracks rated from easy to challenging to suit every skill level or take part in regular MTB events and competitions. Horse riding: Bayview is the perfect place for an inspiring ride. Bring your own horse, saddle up and wind your way along the extensive network of horse riding trails, plus make the most of the reserve amenities including horse hitching stations and drinking troughs. Bush walking, trail running and bird watching: Prefer your outdoor adventures on two feet? The reserve also offers shared trails that are just perfect for trail runners, bush walkers and birdwatchers.  The reserve is open 4am to 10pm daily. The main German Church Road entry/day use gate to the internal parking area and day use area facilities is open from 6am to dusk. Please ensure your vehicles are outside the gate before dusk. Located in the Redlands Coast (Quandamooka Country), Redland Art Gallery was officially opened in 2003. The Redlands Coast is home to the crystal blue waters of southern Moreton Bay and teems with an abundance of marine life, approximately 335 kilometres of coastline, beautiful hinterland and coastal villages – each with its own personality – a strong heritage, the oldest living culture on Earth, island gems just a short hop from Brisbane. RAG’s exhibitions and events feature local, Queensland, nationally and internationally recognised artists. Their exhibition program is showcased in six exhibition spaces over two locations at Cleveland and Capalaba. RAG programs extend to island and mainland locations and their policy is to resource and present a professionally managed visual art exhibition facility which has an annual calendar of exhibitions and public programs that provide opportunities for the Redlands Coast community and visitors to the Redlands Coast to access and engage with the visual arts. Redland Art Gallery is an initiative of Redland City Council and is dedicated to the late Eddie Santagiuliana. RAG acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands, waters and seas where we work.
