Meet the local farmers and producers that have a passionate desire to develop a vibrant regional food culture for locals and visitors to access and enjoy in our region. At Platypus Restaurant and Café enjoy homemade waffles and ice-cream for morning tea overlooking Broken River in the picnic area. Visitors can take a stroll the platypus viewing deck, one of the best locations in the world to see a platypus in the wild. Enjoy a guided tour of Eungelladale Dairy Farm, nestled in the green rolling hills of Eungella. Visitors get to talk with Dale Fortescue about his dairy and an inside view of a real working dairy farm. At Cloudbreak Lowline beef you will have a unique opportunity to "meet your meat". Mandy and Kell will tell their story. You can hand-feed Lucerne to their cattle. Then enjoy canapés followed by a Ploughman’s Lunch, featuring their  beef and local drinks stunning rural views.

Mackay's Day in the Clouds Paddock to Plate tours is a fully guide bus tour departing at 8:00am from the Mackay Entertainment and Convection Centre on Alfred Street, Mackay and returning at approximately 4:30pm that afternoon.

Your tour travels to Eungella and experience the Ultimate Rain-forest Alfresco Dining Experience.  Platypus Lodge Restaurant is run by an Austrian, yes, not Australian, Austrian chef and business owner Oskar, in  Eungella National Park - Broken River

Enjoy homemade waffles and ice-cream for morning tea with a Barista coffee or tea, made with Eungelladale milk or enjoy a cold drink overlooking Broken River in the Picnic area. Visitors can take a stroll to the platypus viewing deck, one of the best locations in the world to see a rare marsupial in the wild.

Enjoy a guided tour of Eungelladale Dairy Farm, nestled in the green rolling hills of Eungella. Visitors get to talk with Dale Fortescue about his dairy and an inside view of a real working dairy farm. Dale will take you through his daily ritual, take a look at the dairy that milks around 120 head per day and see their boutique on farm processing plant.Dale’s elderly father labels every bottle by hand. Every bit of milk produced on the farm is going into their processing plant and being bottled.

At Cloudbreak Lowline (Engella Beef) you will have a unique opportunity to "meet your meat" . Learn some history of the "Cloudbreak" property and Eungella region. Mandy and Kell together with their young children will share their Eungella Beef journey and explain whey soil, pasture and cattle health is so important when producing premium beef. Visitors will have the opportunity to hand-feed Lucerne to their Lowline cattle. Then enjoy canapés followed by a Ploughman’s Lunch, all featuring their own Eungella Lowline Beef, with local drinks, table service in the paddock, with 360 deg stunning rural views.
