Bonney\'s WA Water Ski Park has developed since 1985. The owner and builder Frank Bonney\'s vision was to provide Western Australian skiers a clean safe & friendly water skiing environment.
Today the Park caters to the needs of recreational and social skiers through to the requirements of World Class skiers in Slalom, Trick, Jump, Barefoot and Disabled skiing. The Ski Park is located 30 minutes south of Perth by road. The park is on 150 acres of land and the 5 manmade freshwater lakes cover 110 acres.
All lakes are sheltered from the wind by tree rows and the engineered lake edges ensure the boats wake is extinguished saying goodbye to backwash.
During summer the park attracts in excess of 500 skiers and visitors per week. The tranquil lakeside settings are complimented with gas BBQ\'s, ablution facilities including hot showers. Adjacent to our lakeside Pro-Shop there is a Skiers Cafe` and camping area.
Accommadation is available in our lakeside Chalet which is fully equipped and sleeps 8 or our Cabins with use of our camp kitchen.

Rockingham, 28th July 1947 at the Trocaster Tearoom, now the Boardwalk, 24 interested persons gathered together to discuss the organisation to build a golf course. The first 9 holes were roughly bulldozed out of the sand dunes and the Rockingham Hotel was the golfers’ clubhouse.
A lease for 200 acres was granted and the Rockingham Districts Golf Club became incorporated. An 18 hole golf course was designed by Tom Howard and work was started by members and machinery on loan. Golf rules were adopted – Pennant teams were formed. The clubhouse was opened by Governor Sir Charles Gairdner in 1958. The Rockingham Golf Club Incorporated had the reputation for friendliness, hospitality and well run competitions.
On the 9th March 1985, Rockingham Golf Club Inc. moved from the corner of Patterson Road and Read Street to it’s current location at Elanora Drive. The course was designed by Murray Dawson, a leading golf course architect. The course was carved out of virgin bush and on Opening Day, at least 400 golf balls were lost! This has in time been rectified, and we now enjoy a fairly flat golf course of which hole 1 to 9 can be classed as golf link and 10 to 18 with more trees and better soil. As a golf course, our greens are second to none, and have been made more interesting by design. We have all kinds of bunkers, and the wildlife birds and kangaroos. The kangaroos are not tame, although if you walk round with your golf clubs, they will more likely become your audience rather than run away.
The clubhouse is large and airy, with friendly and hospitable members continuing the traditions of founder members welcoming visitors and friends.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Pristine Islands, reefs and ship wrecks make for excellent diving, snorkelling and wildlife watching in the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park off the coast south of Perth. At Penguin Island, Little Penguins breed in the burrows - watch them being fed at the interactive centre. The island is also home to breeding colonies of silver gulls, fairy terns, bridled terns and Caspian terns. The reefs surrounding the islands provide good snorkelling and diving and abound in marine life including sea stars, urchins and molluscs as well as a number of fish species. Take to the water here and you'll probably run in to a pod of bottlenose dolphins which are extremely common in the marine park. You can go swimming with dolphins on tours which operate regularly. Seal Island is home to a colony of rare Australian sea lions which can often be seen fishing and swimming in nearby waters. Shoalwater Islands Marine Park is also home to the Saxon Ranger, a 400 tonne former fishing vessel - the first purpose sunk dive wreck in the Perth metropolitan area. Dive permits are required. Shoalwater Islands Marine Park is accessible from Rockingham which is less than an hour's drive south of Perth.
Penguin Island is a magnet for nature lovers and is home to the largest colony of Little Penguins. The moderate 1.5 kilometre loop trail starts at the Penguin Experience Island Discovery Centre and allows walkers to experience close encounters with the flora and fauna. Take the booklet Discovering Penguin Island and Shoalwater Islands Marine Park on your walk with you. It features a mud map and other information to help you discover and learn about the plants and animals of the island. It's available from the Discovery Centre and proceeds go back into management of the island. Commentaries and feeding of the little penguins in the Discovery Centre occurs at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm. The Top Trail has a wheelchair accessible boardwalk which provides access between the jetty, picnic area, toilets, the Discovery Centre and to the northern lookout. Whilst on the island it's important to stick to the walk trails and demarcated beaches only as the island is a bird sanctuary. The island is only open during the day and the ferry operates from mid-September to early June departing hourly between 9am and 3pm and returning at your leisure, hourly between 10am and 4pm.
