The Koorie Heritage Trust is a bold and adventurous 21st century Aboriginal arts and cultural organisation. The Koorie Heritage Trust offers an inclusive and engaging environment for all visitors. As an Aboriginal owned and managed organisation, they take great pride in their ability to develop and deliver an authentic and immersive urban Aboriginal arts and cultural experience in a safe and inclusive environment that cannot be duplicated by any other arts and cultural organisation in Melbourne. In doing so, the trust contributes to Melbourne as a creative city that embraces Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their history and culture. The Koorie Heritage Trust welcomes non-Indigenous people and invites them to learn about Victoria's Indigenous cultural heritage. The Trust have an annual program of changing exhibitions showing the work of contemporary Indigenous artists, as well as a permanent interactive exhibition. The trust also has on display items from the only public collection in Australia dedicated solely to Koorie art and culture. The Koorie Heritage Trust offers a range of tours including cultural walks in the Flagstaff Gardens and The River Walk, an historical and cultural tour along the Birrarung (Yarra River) and an exploration of the installations at Birrarung Marr (Common Ground). Shrine Of Remembrance

Enjoy stunning views of the Reserve and many of Melbourne's landmarks from the balcony of the Shrine. Explore the monuments and memorials throughout the Reserve, including the Legacy Garden of Appreciation and the Gallipoli Memorial, as well as the many remembrance trees dedicated to Victorian service units from the First World War onwards. Contemplate the Eternal Flame in the Second World War Forecourt, symbolising eternal life for those who have served. The Shrine's extensive permanent and temporary exhibition spaces illustrate the experiences of Australians at war and in peacekeeping operations. The Galleries of Remembrance feature over 800 objects from Pre-Federation to the present day, with a particular focus on individual and unit stories of Victorian service and sacrifice.
