Nevertheless, children of all ages are well catered for with a children's precinct and Kidsportz for the very young ones.

Sydney Jewish Museum Logo and Images

Sydney Jewish Museum

148 Darlinghurst Road, Darlinghurst NSW 2010

The Sydney Jewish Museum is dedicated to documenting and teaching the history of the Holocaust so that these events will never be repeated.

This world-class museum challenges visitors' perceptions of democracy, morality, social justice and human rights and places the Holocaust in its historical and contemporary context.

The Governor of NSW, Rear Admiral Peter Sinclair AC, officially opened the Sydney Jewish Museum on 18 November 1992. Since its opening it has quickly become an integral part of the cultural life of Sydney, winning the 1994 Award of Distinction in the NSW Tourism Awards for Excellence, and a Commendation in the 1995 Human Rights Awards.

Housed in the historic Maccabean Hall, the Sydney Jewish Museum presents visitors with an overview of the best and worst of humanity.

The Maccabean Hall, built to commemorate NSW Jewish men and women who served in WW1 and to honour the memory of those who lost their lives, was formally opened on Armistice Day in 1923 by the universally beloved Sir John Monash.

Vaucluse House Logo and Images

Vaucluse House

Wentworth Road, Vaucluse NSW 2030

Houses and their owners have a tendency to be reflections of one another. Vaucluse House presents venerable Gothic Revival façades to Sydney Harbour but the mansion, built in fits and starts between 1805 and the early 1860s, is in a mixture of styles, is unresolved in terms of its layout and lacks the social grace of a formal entrance.

Its builder, William Charles Wentworth (1790-1872) is known today as one of our early colonial statesmen. His sense of his place in societywas undermined by illegitimacy and convict associations. With the rising tide of Victorian morality his wife Sarah was shunned as lacking respectability and the family had to socialise outside of colonial society. Vaucluse House’s lack of cohesion is perhaps a result of Wentworth’s brooding anger at this slight and the house’s slow growth over decades. In contrast with the house, the grounds preserve a remarkably complete 19th century estate plan with stables, rural outbuildings, carriage drives, paddocks, lawns, a serene pleasure garden and recreated Victorian kitchen garden.

Zensara Crows Nest Logo and Images

Zensara Crows Nest

Level 1, 13 - 17 Willoughby Rd, Crows Nest NSW 2065

Zensara was inspired by an exotic fusion of French and Oriental influences. The French influence is reflected in the design of the reception area, in the pampering, indulgent aspect, and in the exquisite aromas. The Oriental influence is apparent in the serenity of the relaxation areas, as well as in treatments such as shiatsu and warm stone massage.

Time permitting following treatments, we will encourage you to relax in one of our Oriental-inspired areas and transition back to reality gently. Sometimes this quiet contemplative time can be as beneficial as the treatment itself as you connect with your own essence, gazing at our bamboo garden outside, or sharing a cosy nook with a buddha while sipping an exotic tea.

The meaning of Zensara is derived from three Japanese kanji characters, which combine to mean discovering your true purpose or your spiritual path, and hopefully you will experience the essence of Zensara on your visit.

Nature has been the inspiration for our spa and our own Zensara aromatherapy range of products is intended to bring you closer to nature, delighting your senses with products containing extracts from flowers, fruits, herbs, wood and spices.

It is our mission to sprinkle magic in the lives of our clients – creating moments you will always remember. We hope too that you will leave with a sense of serenity, having nurtured your body and nourished your soul!
