The Urban Polaris rides again. Forming part of the Canberra & Region Heritage Festival and Australian Heritage Week the Urban Polaris will take in heritage sites spread throughout Canberra. Come and make tracks in the Capital as teams of two riders take to the cycle paths, forests and roads seeking out a choice of checkpoints in a seven-hour event that is open to serious riders, recreational riders and teams of all ages. Urban Polaris is a navigating and cycling event where teams must find their way around control points. Each control point is given a point value that the competitors accumulate during the day. The team with the most points at the end of the seven hours is declared the winner. Successful teams will require good tactics to ensure they visit enough control points while allowing themselves time to return to base without incurring too many penalties. Despite its competitive undertone the event suits everybody from those teams who will endeavour to reach every point to those who see it as an opportunity to have a day out riding with friends and taking in areas of Canberra they may not otherwise visit. Families with Children can enjoy a day of fast fun and excitement in the Go Zone riding amusement rides and karting on the purpose built Indy Circuit. With safety of bumpers, the children as young as 5 years can experience all the thrills of karting in a safe and well organised day of fun and excitement. Next to the track is Side show alley with amusement rides and computer games that’ll keep the kids busy for hours.

The general public can enjoy our purpose built Family Fun Karts on the Monte Carlo Circuit on which they can race Predator & Formula Karts against their mates or race the clock to set today’s best lap time. We also do great parties and run a wickered school holiday program.

Our Adult Race Karts offer drivers the chance to get on track in latest Euro designed Schumacher Race Karts. Take control of one of our serious race karts on the 1100m international standard Le Mans Track. This the only hire track in Australia that was specifically built to offer you a true racing experience on an international circuit.

Computerised Timing and sector control
Both the Monte Carlo and Le Mans tracks have been installed with the very latest AMB computerised timing software in Australia. Which means all karts have diagnostic software, which enables screen displays of race times, race positions and the race gap between drivers during an event. After the racing we will email to you all of your day’s race times so you can compare the results between your group.

Your Safety is our main Priority
For your safety we equipped the our RFC safety control system which is activated via remote signal switching that allows us to control lights and the karts on the whole track at the touch of a switch and to add to the driver’s safety every kart has roll bars, seatbelts and intrusion protection fitted to ensure we offer you the safest ride at all times. You will experience real side-by-side racing action in real race karts on our international standard racing circuit knowing that our trained marshals are constantly monitoring your safety from the control tower.

We specialise in group events and Corporate Team Building Programs and Karting is a perfect way to relieve some of the stresses of today’s busy lifestyles. The Kingston Beach Golf Club is one of Tasmania's leading 18-hole golf courses. The Kingston Beach Golf Club winds through river flats where Browns River enters the sea, and is edged with eucalypts and light bushland. This flat, easy walking course is framed with views of the Mount Wellington Range, river and ocean and presents a combination of testing par threes, delightful par fours and strategic par fives. There are numerous bunkers, water comes into play on six holes and the elevated green on the 16th is framed by bunkers and a large pine tree, which may test the ability of many golfers. An inclinator carries players to the 18th tee. The Club has hire and practice facilities, a resident golf professional and a stunning clubhouse built in 1830 and known as the Red House. Founded in 1922, the Club has hosted many major state and national events and the course is a proclaimed wildlife sanctuary. Men's competitions are held every Wednesday and Saturday and a ladies' competition each Tuesday and Thursday. Bookings advised. Holes: 18, Par: 71, Length: 5803 metres, Australian Course Rating: 70.
