The Sugarworld Waterslides are situated only minutes from Cairns in the suburb of Edmonton, and are a wonderful venue for a family visit.
We have four giant waterslides for Adults and Children, a wading pool for Toddlers and a huge FUN POOL!
Enjoy a drink or sample our large range of great food at our licensed kiosk, or perhaps cook up your own feast on our Barbeques.
The waterslide complex is surrounded by a lush parkland set on 17 acres, explore the large range of Tropical Fruit trees or have a close encounter with one of the many Peacocks that call Sugarworld home.

Within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, nestled below the rugged Bellenden Ker Range, Goldsborough Valley features lush lowland rainforest and the clear flowing waters and deep pools of the picturesque Mulgrave River. This section of Wooroonooran National Park is home to a variety of birds and butterflies, and many kinds of freshwater fish can be seen in the river. Enjoy a relaxing picnic by the river or set up camp in the spacious grassy camping area. Take a short walk through the rainforest to Kearneys Falls or embark on the 19 kilometre one-way Goldfield trail which passes between Queensland's two highest peaks (Bartle Frere and Bellenden Ker) and leads to the Boulders Scenic Reserve near Babinda. Canoe on the river (canoeing conditions are best between March and May) or ride a mountain bike along the Goldfield Trail for eight kilometres to the East Mulgrave causeway.

Located at the northern end of Wooroonooran National Park and 25 kilometres south of Cairns, Walshs Pyramid is a granite core left standing in the form of a pointed hill. The track up Walshs Pyramid is steep and rocky, with stunted vegetation that offers no shade. Although a difficult track, walkers who make it to the summit are rewarded with stunning 360 degree views of the surrounding ranges and local landscape. The track is 6 kilometres return and you should allow five to six hours to complete the walk. It is recommended that walkers take plenty of water, wear sunscreen and a hat, and start the walk in the morning to be sure of returning before it gets dark....

Gordonvale, historically a sugar town, is today a quintessential Australian country town. It has courteous storekeepers, well-preserved streetscapes, historic buildings and a great sense of community. Near Gordonvale stands Walshs Pyramid at 922 metres in height. Each year the township hosts The Great Pyramid Race, an epic 12km race to the top and back. The record stands at 1:15:34 set in 2007 by Neil Labinsky. From Gordonvale there is access to the Atherton Tablelands via the Gillies Highway, while south the Great Green Way extends south to Mission Beach. Gordonvale is about 30 minutes drive south of Cairns....

With pristine swimming holes, breathtaking views and stunning waterfalls that flow into a deep granite gorge, Behana is a spectacular sight all year round. It’s about a 45 minute walk along a sealed road running parallel to the creek to arrive at your final destination, Clamshell falls. Here you will find a beautiful waterfall with a cool swimming hole at its base. There are no facilities so bring water, snacks and sunscreen. It’s best to walk early morning or late afternoon when the sun isn’t as harsh....
