The Pelican Feed takes place on The Entrance waterfront each day and is one of the Central Coast's most popular tourist attractions, entertaining and educating visitors and residents alike about the area's own pelican colony. It all started over 20 years ago by staff at the local fish shop, who would feed scraps to the pelicans every day. Then in 1996, The Entrance Town Centre Management built the feeding platform known as Pelican Plaza. They, in conjunction with the many sponsors and a wonderful team of volunteers, have made it possible to feed the pelicans whole fresh fish 365 days a year and make it the spectacle it is today. The Central Coast Watercolour Society announces the Springtime Exhibition to be held at the Entrance Community Centre. The exhibition will run daily from 10 am to 4 pm with the official opening Friday 28th October at 6 pm. A selection of beautifully framed quality paintings and cards will be available for purchase. They are pleased to announce Anthony Liem as the featured artist. He has held a number of successful exhibitions in conjunction with fellow artists. Anthony has donated his painting ?Opera House Sydney? to be raffled during the exhibition. On Saturday 5th November at 10:30 am Anthony will be giving a talk on his approach to sketching and painting while travelling. Following this a complimentary morning tea will be served. In conjunction with the exhibition there will be free Try Your Hand at Watercolour sessions on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October from 1 to 4 pm with tuition and artist quality materials supplied....
