See the Australian sport of campdrafting and the young riders of tomorrow compete in the Junior Rodeo. Sit on the hillside and enjoy country music with a top band. There are all kinds of rides, novelties, stalls, and food and drinks are always available. Don't miss the man versus horse versus bike, and the girls, girls, girls, trick riding. Relax with your family on the tree-shaded hill or on one of the grandstands around the rodeo arena. The campdraft will be on Saturday 23rd/Sunday 24th January. Cattle Dog Trials on Saturday 23rd January. Yard dog Trials on Saturday 23rd/Sunday 24th Jan. A afternoon/twilight sporting gymkhana will be held on Monday 25th January, followed by evening of live entertainment (8pm to midnight) by The Lumpy Underdaks. Taralga Art Show

The Taralga Art Show is an annual event, with 82 artists participating last year. One of the highlights is the Creative Workshops held for both adults and children. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the community mural, and there are also activity sheets for the children to fill in.
