McClelland Sculpture Park + Gallery was established in 1971 under the terms of the Will of Annie May (Nan) McClelland in honour of her brother Harry McClelland, an artist and philanthropist who owned the property and played an instrumental role in the development of the arts community in Victoria.
Set in sixteen hectares of bush and landscaped gardens in Langwarrin, four kilometres East of Frankston on the Mornington Peninsula, McClelland attracts thousands of people each year and the sculpture park which showcases over 100 works by major Australian artists.
McClelland has three indoor galleries spaces and a collection of works on paper, paintings, photography and sculptures. McClelland is committed to the development of sculpture in Australia and is the home of the biennial McClelland Survey and Award for outdoor sculpture.
McClelland Sculpture Park + Gallery's programs aim to engender greater understanding of contemporary art with a focus on sculpture and nature.
